I find it even more interesting that for the better part of three years there were all kinds of people who apparently didn’t care about inflation or tariffs for that matter but now all the sudden in just the last month it’s all they can talk about.
Who are those silent types, the rich? it's been a problem for me since covid. to suddenly discount those forces is just stupid.

I am not fickle, and I take pride in the fact that I'm consistent. Pretty much the things I liked as a kid I still like 50 years later. Music, sports teams, types of movies, types of TV shows, types of foods, things of that nature. I've always loved money, and I always hate spending it. And that goes for the things that I hated when I was a kid I still hate today.

If I did get the boot it would not be the first forum from which I got booted. 😂

I hear ya, my life is at an all time low. Here I am contemplating reducing 4 eggs to 3 a day. Real world problems!
I'm down to 2 on Wednesdays and 2 on Sundays. The wife aka chef does the same. Got on waiting list for fifty pullets $4.54 each will be available in May!

As my father used to say, "I've been kicked out of better places than this, and for less cause."

What exactly will happen to all of those folks who have an order in already?
Are the prices of their Mavericks “locked”?
What is the dealerships saying and has Ford Corp sent anything out to the guys waiting for their builds?

I do not want to start something, I am just trying to get a clear picture of what is going on.
I guess we will find out. I ordered just over 3 weeks ago so I have no idea what the hell is going to happen by the time I finally get my order in 4 to 6 months. 🤷‍♂️

Um... supposedly inflation had a big part to play in the recent popularity contest we had in November. Not sure how people weren't caring about it?

Just to rehash you guys and gals do know that the tariffs you speak about got avoided at the last min by concessions from those countries?
So all this worrying amounted to nothing zero. Now we won’t know if we avoid the new ones on steel or aluminum. But I’m glad I don’t take the sky is falling approach.

I like your style. Just go for it. At the end of the day it will all be fine

Pretty sure the China tariffs are still a go - and they are set to do reciprocal ones on America goods, which is going to hurt our farmers.

Worst case scenario is they try to jack the price up when I go to pick it up and then I'll just walk away from the deal.

Yes but most everyone was complaining of the Mexico one as if it was the end all. Look at the title of the thread. It clearly states both Mexico and Canada.
We may experience some short term pain. But that does not chance the fact that as I stated form the first time this popped up. If it’s used as a bargaining chip then so be it.
I’d say 2 out of three is better than zero out of 3 which is what we have had for years.
Sometimes we need some short term pain for long term benefits. The math is on our side as far as consumption rates.
One of those old who is it gonna hurt more. Hint it is the one who is more reliant one one than the other. Sure we may not get our “cheap” goods but they also lose out on the biggest consumer of goods.
