the center console latch has the hole. is there an easy way to empty it out? i added a pic where i stuck a dime right in front of the hole.
if you need to know why, i have a "friend" that knew that the rattling would annoy me.

thanks, i dont think either of those will work. the hole is tiny (it barely fits the flat dime in the pic) and it seems to go all the way down. my guess is i will have to remove the whole console and sweep it out.

The console partially lifts off fairly easily, I think it was one bolt on either side at the front and one on either side at the back, then you should be able to lift the back up pretty high, 5-6" iirc.
If the dime is all the way in there that's gonna be your best solution.

So you mean it fell thru that hole down to whatever is below?

The pic is just showing us where we better never put anything small.

Console is removable, there's around 7 bolts holding it all in place.

2 bolts just under the USB ports, 1 near the ds footwell. 2 in the center near the bottom and 2 more on the bottom near the rear of the console.

Two sided tape or duct tape on end of dole rod or something similar . stick to dime , slide dime over and pull out . good luck .

It looks like that space is needed for the latch on your lid. Is so, those “holes” would be filled when the lid is shut and latched. Maybe the lid does not really need to latch but afraid that would create another rattle. Anyway, check that is you are thinking of plugging those holes

Pretty sure what he's saying is his jackass friend through money down inside that opening that holds the catch for the console lid meaning there's change down under the console not just the one you see sitting in that indent.
