Is the Ford Maverick Lariat Worth $40k?

I do like the headlights of the 2024 better than the 2025. After a little time the 2025 headlights are not the bad. Keep in mind you cannot see the headlights from inside the nicer 2025 Lariat interior. FYI - I purchased a 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD 4K 8 months ago after selling my 2020 F150 XLT. 100% enjoy the Maverick over the F150.

Buenas, soy de Argentina y tengo una Lariat 2024, en la agencia me dicen que a éste modelo ellos no le pueden activar el Modo Eco y el Modo Sport, que tampoco pueden hacer que los vidrios de las puertas cierren con la llave y que tampoco el arranque del motor con la llave. He leído mucho en este foro que si lo tienen en otros países, es más, que tampoco puedo conectarla a Ford Pass ni conectar Copilot 360. Me podrían dar consejos de como hacerlo por fuera de las inútiles concesionarias que tenemos acá en mi país? Desde ya agradezco todos los consejos con los que me puedan ayudar

I bought mine in April, 2025 for just over 36k out the door. Tax title etc. If it had been over 40k sticker then all the fees I would have been more inclined to go with a Ridgeline. The mpg of the Honda combined with more than 10k higher price, actually a RTL was close to 15k more, pushed me to the Maverick. Get close to 42k and the Honda looks competitive.

I'd never even look at a Ridgeline.

Yeah closest one to me is a few states away but still if you were looking for a Tremor that is what you should go grab.

Yes 2025 some goodies but not worth $8-10k.

It cost me $1,100 to switch from a 23 XL to 25 XL after subtracting the extra $2,750 in options my 25 has. And that's basically the AWD/4k options. $1,100 to upgrade to a 2 year newer truck with 28,000 less miles is a no brainer. The AWD/4K options should hold their value too.

Drop the facia next to the headlights.
Drop the notifications after the touch is turned off.
Add all lighting to be LEDs!!!!
Give seat color choices on the black out version.
Add a plate to cover the opening behind the left rear tire to keep the weather from reaching the taillight housing etc.
Have the Lariat FWD only as an option for those that don't want the AWD.
8 way power passenger seat would be nice.
Add the sliding power glass behind the rear seat like it used to be.

Lot of posts comparing this year's pricing to earlier MY pricing. Seems people are confused about inflation, like it's voluntary and/or imaginary.

These days, there really aren't any vehicles MSRP'd under 25 that don't come with serious drawbacks. Or if you want to put it a different way, you're not going to be seeing 2022 prices again.

I had thought I'd be able to look at mid-size hybrid SUV's around 30, and ... yeah, no. The whole 'Rav 4's start at 30' bit is just marketing - look on lots, and you are not going to see a RAV 4 hybrid stickered under 36, and most are priced in the high 30's. We all have discount stories - but bottom line is cars went up in price, and they're going to stay there.

Are all the extras of a trim package "worth it?" If you want them, yeah. If not, no. I do think that when you compare pricing to other mfrs and other vehicles in the 2025 market, the Maverick still offers excellent value, esp. when you consider ease of maintenance and fuel savings.

Built one... It's $33600 adding nothing else but Hybrid, AWD, 4KTow to an XL. How did you get it for $3.6k to 4K less? the site does force the Copilot360 for $795 on the MY2025... I suppose you may have purchased when they weren't forcing that... But how did you get an additional $3k off?

I waited for the right time, and found Exactly the build I wanted.

I had the slider on my 23 XL. Opened it maybe twice. I didn't care that much that it was gone. Those wheels were the only ones I really liked for it.

The Ford Maverick Lariat is worth $40K if you plan on keeping it for a while. I just ordered a new 2025 Ford Maverick Lariat Hybrid and the best trade offer I received for my 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat Tremor from the local Ford dealer was $11k below what I paid for it 2 years ago which was not worth the trade. Ford Mavericks currently have a poor trade value which was not the case back in 2022-2023. The Ford Maverick is a great truck and enjoy mine very much!

MANUAL sliders are a pain. Remote controlled sliders (like on my 22 Lariat Lux) + sunroof are awesome for controlling just the right amount of air w/o having windows down and stuff blowing around.

ETA: Also have one on my 2015 F150 XLT (302A). Use it all the time.

I only used it once for my dog on a little trip. She loved it. Opend it another time to see if I could open it from the driver's seat.

Can you afford to spend that amount of money?
