Was wondering if this is still an issue. My truck is scheduled to be built on Oct 3rd. Assuming it takes a week to build any chance of getting it before the end of Nov? Shipping to NY NJ area. My current ride registration expires end on Nov and don't feel like spending the 80 bucks it costs to renew.

Hard to say.

I have a built status of 8/30 and still hasn't shipped. There are people with earlier dates than mine who also haven't had their trucks shipped out. Then there are the people who were built several days or even a couple weeks after and theirs shipped out the same day.

Wow that's wierd. Seems to be random. Have not heard any issues with chip hold. Although I wonder with the rush to complete as many 22 orders as they can it may come up again.

It’s a weird issue going on. I was built 8/25 with no holds or delays. According to Ford, my truck is still awaiting shipment in Mexico. But, according to my dealer my truck is in South Dakota already awaiting to go to next location or to dealer. So idk what’s going on with shipping.

It's not like trains are hard to miss. I wonder if your dealer just happens to know which car it is in and so can track the train itself.

Same delay with me. Mav was built late last month - but it's still sitting waiting to be shipped. The fun just doesn't end!

It seems dealers are able to get more accurate information than Ford CS. I've seen a few people who were able to see their trucks were shipped when asking the dealer and Ford CS said it's still waiting for shipment.

Is this limited to a certain geographical area? Looks like posters with the issue are in middle America.

Here in NY they will refund your registration fees when you take the car off the road and return or transfer plates, cancel/transfer insurance. It gets pro-rated for the amount of time it was registered before the change, and your new registration will be discounted by that amount. Check with your DMV.

Does "built" mean your truck is ready to ship,, or that it may be parked waiting on chips? Mine switched to built status yesterday

Per Ford chat and my dealer - my Mav has been built and released to the shipper. That was nearly a month ago.

Shipping is such a mess right now. I waited 2 months for a Chevy Bolt to make it from Michigan to Connecticut. It never came, and I ended up having to find a different one.

That would be great! But even though I am purchasing a car in NY. I am in NJ. Last new car I bought they made you pay registration for 5 years. Thanks for the tip. Just looked it up. You can transfer as long it is the same class. Truck to truck which it is
But does require a visit to DMV. Going to wait till last minute.
