Shipping delay to Michigan.

I was expecting my Delivery 14 - 20 April, as these dates had passed I was happy to receive a Mail from Ford, 1 day before my Birthday
Unfortunately, this is what I got

"To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time before your 2022 Maverick XLT is delivered to Midland Ford. Your vehicle’s previous estimated delivery range of April 14, 2022, and April 20, 2022, has been updated to between May 29, 2022, and June 4, 2022. "

I can assure you, this does NOT assure my complete satisfaction. In fact I'm pretty disgusted.
No reasons given!!.

A co-worker at my work had 4/9-4/13 date and has been sitting in Flat Rock for a few weeks now...Not sure if no convoy drivers or maybe an upcoming recall??? We shall see....

My expected arrival date was changed from Apr 9-15 to Apr 21-27th last week. I called Ford yesterday and was told by the service rep that she was now seeing by May 1st in the system. She also mentioned that it noted a convoy issue and that it would likely be delayed a little bit further since the convoy constraint was still showing when looking up my VIN.

Honestly, the delay doesn't bother me as I am reasonable when it comes to all of the challenges that companies, logistics and the supply chain have to work though now. What does frustrate me is that my truck is currently only 3 hours away from me (where it has been for more than 2 weeks now) and I would happily go down and get it, which would also alleviate some convoy demand (as I know there are others that would also go pick up their own vehicle if given the opportunity). Darn red tape anyways....

Ordered my hybrid July 6th. It was supposed to roll into the dealer between April 15th-21st..NOPE. Now it is going to sit in a rail yard in Michigan for another month. I have seen several others in the same boat. Very, very, poor logistics.

Hang in there, I received the same message in December. 3 days later it was in transit. Delivered on Jan 6. the lack of timely communication IS a big DEAL

My August 4, 2021 order Area 51 FE Lariat hybrid shipped on April 15 and arrived at the dealer in Toledo 17 days later (yesterday). I feel pretty lucky after reading some of the horror stories on here. I didn't track the railcar because I didn't want to pester the dealer and knew I didn't have any control over it anyway. So happy to get the phone call.

The first few hours with the truck have been delightful. I'm also happy that I never considered compromising on any options and got exactly the fully-loaded vehicle I wanted.

With X-Plan, my total out-the-door price (even including sales tax!) was still below the sticker price and I was given the 36 months at 0% that was available when I ordered.

Good luck to those still waiting. You'll be happy when you get that call!

Thanks for the encouragement I'm a bit North of you and will also be claiming the X-Plan. My total is about 28,000 but not sure what the discount is going to be yet. Is it a % ?.

GOT IT! What a surprise to have it delivered so soon after the notice that it was going to be at the end of the month. Maverick is beyond my expectations. I hope you have a similar experience.

Me too I go take a look at it tonight.. Actually I could have gone yesterday but I didn't see the email until late, which is odd as I tend to look every 5 minute lol

Guess I was lucky from assembly plant to delivery 20 days. Florida east coast.

They were very good, no markups, I only got 2-300, off can't remember now to be honest.
We have another ordered now, Wife is impressed and I don't want her stealing mine
Back to Midland Ford... Can't complain.
