Is it a "Bug" or a "Feature"

My wife is a software quality engineer and recently received a challenge coin. One side of the coin says Bug, the other says Feature. Ford should use this coin in determining whether to fix it or charge more for it. For example is the deep sleep mode many of have experienced - is it a bug or a feature that is a back-up to the battery saver mode?

I tried to post pictures of the coin, but I'm having issues (must be a bug)

I worked in IT for over forty years (twenty-five were at Ford). No matter what, it was always a "feature".

Can you imagine how bad the battery situation would be without it.

And to the point of a problem looking for success:

If deep sleep mode can turn off the TCU to conserve power - they could have whatever module is doing that - turn off everything except the module that allows remote unlock, even the module performing the function itself. Not like computers haven't been shutting themselves down for years.

I saw the pictures That coin is neat.
I gave up on PC's, laptop's and tablets years ago.
For me a phone is faster.
Pictures, videos, screen shots right from camera to post. Even editing.
Good luck with the picture.
I just edited the picture. And text.

I keep my old phones around as small computers with onboard Camera, video. The old phones still have Internet access just no phone service. I think of it as a computer that fits in my pocket.
I have one in the work shed, I have one in the RV if my wife wants to look up a recipe. She doesn't have to worry about getting her phone messy.

I spent 30 years in software. I had a few team members about whom I asked the same question. Is this person a bug or a feature?

And not necessarily because they were bad software engineers. Sometimes you can be too good. As in writing code nobody else can understand or maintain. That's one of the biggest unsung curses of the industry - the egomaniac superstars (at least in their own minds) who create "write only" code.
