My 2023 XLT Lux with 4k towing inverter doesn't work.
Neither the bed outlet or the center console outlet has voltage in any key position.

My truck does have the recall for the trailer lights, so I'm wondering if it could be an issue with the harness.

Anybody else have this issue?
My truck is scheduled for service on Tuesday, so I'll know more then.

The inverter is probably damaged. Next Wednesday I have an appointment to replace the inverter in my Lariat 2022.

Update:

Mobile techs said they were able to solve the issue. They said that there was a connection that the factory "forgot" to plug in.

I'm happy that they were able to solve the issue, but between this and the trailer plug recall it really shows that there is below minimal QA testing done at the factory.

Both outlets have no power.
Mine is in the shop for this right now. So I am without my truck this weekend.

**update** They replaced the inverter and this did not fix the problem. They are now working with Ford Engineers to figure out what to try next.

Anyone else have this problem? (Only other issue I had was when I picked up my truck originally, the driver rear parking light did not work).

My heated wiper park was getting no power- They replaced the entire fuse box in the engine bay which fixed it- Could be worth a test.

How did you check that it wasn't getting power? Curious if mine is...

Head tech had to reach out to Ford engineers, it was a pretty deep dive that took a week. There was at least one circuit inside the fuse box that although connected with a good fuse would not send current downstream. The actual repair document says they replaced # 12651D5 Smart junction box-

In my case, they said that the connection in the bed was disconnected causing both outlets not to work. Might be worth checking out.

I’m so glad I checked the forums before taking my truck to the dealer. I never bothered to check the inverters since my led box light wld turn on. But both inverters were not operating. There was a junction behind the led box sandwiched between the fender and wheel well that wasn’t connected to the led box inverter wiring. Now it works; there is a little led light near the inverter indicating there’s power. Saved me from being without the truck for a day or more.

I just returned from the dealer. They found the problem and replaced the interior AC socket. It must be a factory defect since I never used that. AC outlet.

How did you discover it was getting no power? Just sat there and felt it with your hand?
