Santa fixed it while you slept.
My only-slightly-less-absurd theories:

- It was battery voltage, and when I started the truck and let it run for about 5 min, it hit enough voltage to enable the 120v plugs.
- Some weird bug that resolved itself when the heated mirrors turned on.

Has anyone else had issues with this? I just figured out mine wasn't working as well. Dealership says both outlets are bad...... Ordered new parts? I'll give an update next week.

DC/AC description says:
AC POWER POINT
This vehicle is equipped with up to two AC outlets.
One on the rear of the center floor console and one in the Bed Panel.

Each AC outlet is equipped with an amber LED that indicates the system status.
The LED is illuminated continuously when the inverter is ON and the system is operating normally.

If the LED has a series of three flashes, the power point is overloaded.

The LED flashes constantly if the ignition is on and a fault is detected.
If the LED is off when ignition (engine running) there could be some system faults.

If at least one of the outlet LEDs is not electrically detected, the inverter will not provide AC output and will command the other Outlets LEDs to be off (in case the vehicle has more than one AC outlet).

Just wanted to share my inverter story here in case it helps someone like me down the line. I bought my maverick used, and I don’t think I ever checked the bed and cab plugs to make sure they worked, but after installing a turn signal stalk and activating LKA with Forscan, I saw I was getting the DTC that the inverter didn’t work. Might have been there before, I don’t know. I made sure to not touch any forscan settings in the BCM so I know it wasn’t forscan.
The cab plug would light up for one second when I started the truck, but it would then turn off. I checked all connections, and everything was connected. The bed plug never lit up and didn’t work at all. I was worried it would be the inverter itself, but I remember reading that neither plug will work if one is broken. Since the bed light never lit up, I decided to take a chance and buy another OEM bed outlet for $55.00. After installation, both outlets have an orange light and they both provide electricity. So if your cab outlet flashes once and goes out, it could be that it’s starting up, but when it sees the bed outlet is dead it kills everything.
Like I said, just wanted to put this out there because it worked for me, and if you have the same symptoms, trying a $55 new outlet might be better than a $400 new inverter.

If I need to replace my inverter I will upgrade to pure sine wave with increased amperage.
