I reside in the Middle Tennessee area. Murfreesboro.
I go by Ray.
Lurked around these forums for awhile trying to get info on the Maverick.

So I pulled the trigger a couple of months back. Order confirmed 10/16/24. Got an order number from Ford and a Vin. Build date of 12/30/24.
The local dealer here was not rated very well from a chart I found on this site nor was the next closest, maybe not next but within 25 miles.
Never signed anything or got any paperwork from the dealer much less paid down anything. But did get the emails from Ford, so I know it was ordered. Built and ordered it from the Ford website but if I remember correctly was instructed to go to that dealer to get the order started.
Anyway went to the dealer today thinking might go ahead and get the financing going and talk about trading a vehicle or two I have. They wouldn't start the finance process until the vehicle arrives. Fine I guess prequalified until April.
My salesman checked the status of my order, didn't ask him to but he did. He informed me the vehicle should be there between 12/17 and 12/23. And I asked built or received? He said on the lot. I showed him the Ford email with order number and vin, he said hmm shrugged his shoulders and said the dates he said were what was being shown on his end or rather some boss there.

Nice guy have no reason to doubt him at least not yet. But is this normal? How could the dates be so far off? Especially if they are being held for the QC reasons I have read on here.

Thanks

Welcome. I would recommend calling Ford Support and asking them directly for your order status and timeline. They will tell you that your dealer has all the info, and that your dealer is the best source of information, but you can say that your dealer was a bit confused and recommended you call in to ask Ford Support. Little white lie is fine. They will want to know your order number and dealership info. If you are getting the Ford Emails, they may be able to find you via searching for orders under your email address.

Ford Support is at: (800) 392-3673

Me again. Noticed you said you have the VIN. Go enter it along with your order number here and see what it says.

That link takes me to the same page I showed to the salesman. With a build date of 12/30/2024 and the vin number. I figure they are blowin smoke on the date that they gave me, the dealer that is. I don't know why they would do this. I have what Ford sent and am more inclined to believe them over the stealer.
Four emails from Ford, credit approval,, order confirmation, order update(build date) and account created (trying to find info, got owners manual PDF and other goodies). I may try the phone number to see if Ford can give me a reason for the dealers dates.
I'm not really in that big of a hurry, still got a Silverado and Camaro to part ways with. And maybe a CRV that we converted to right hand drive, my wife the "Post Master" was a rural route driver. She had a health scare and not sure if she will be going back to the post office. Her dream job. But we have good pensions, we worked at a local plant 30 years each. Still got a couple of years that I'm going to work, at least being an industrial mechanic. Maybe a Walmart greeter or similar later on.

Anyway I'm in no big hurry as I said. Just hate the BS that comes from dealers.

You can't always go by what the email from Ford says. I received email from Ford on 07-16-2024 that my truck was expected to arrive between Aug. 4 and Aug. 10. Got a phone call on 07-17-2024 from the dealer my truck is on the lot , prepped and ready to drive off. I picked it up the next day. This was my second XL Hybrid.

Ray, I would say at the very least, your dealer is mistaken; no earley 2025 Mavericks will be shipped without the 3-6 week quality hold. Check @fordvideoguy recent post. (Do a search above). Normally w/o the quality hold you might see it show up at the dealer with in a month of the build date. Once the vehicle is released from the hold, you should receive an email from Ford that it has shipped.

Maybe, just maybe the dealer is getting something similar to what you ordered and will have it by that time frame and wants to sell it to you, rather than you wait for your order to be built and arrive, giving the dealer more incentive. It could happen, maybe.

If the truck is to be delivered between 12/17 and 12/23 that would be a 2024MY, no 2025's will be shipped in 2024 from what I read on line.

My 25 hybrid AWD started production about two weeks early, and is currently on a train to Omaha. At least that's what my dealer tells me, and they don't have any reason to be blowing smoke. They were initially anticipating an early January delivery, maybe February, but Ford recently told them it would be here by December 15th.

I ordered it from my dealer on August 30, but I'm not sure when it got into Ford's system. It had an initial production date for the week of 11/25, but they got started early. I won't know the actual delivery date for sure until it gets here, but I'm optimistic.

Many of the produced 2025 Mavericks have been given ETAs but they have not been released yet because of the quality hold. The QC hold is supposed to be about 6 weeks from the start of production, 11/11. We could see some start to ship out in late December.

There is always overlap in production so a small batch of 25MY were built prior to 11/11 full production start up. But they are holding all 25MY for a 6 week quality hold even the ones from MP1. I noticed some Maverick received ETAs and some received TBD ETAs. I would be curious if they can see the current location in VinView to see if it has in fact left the plant and is on the rail head towards your dealer. I hope so because that would mean the quality control hold is lifted and more Mavericks would start to ship out.

Well, I stopped into my dealer for some questions unrelated to my Maverick order, but I ran into the sales manager and he pulled up my VIN on his computer, without me even mentioning it. Their screen now shows that my truck hasn't shipped, in fact, and has actually been in QC since December 3. The delivery estimate still shows December 15th, which obviously isn't happening. Sorry for getting everyone's hopes up!

So I guess my little truck won't be here as quick as I thought, but at least it's closer than it was. It's OK though, my bed cover won't be here until the middle of January anyway. First world problems.

The quality check hold has been lifted 2 days so hopefully your Maverick will be shipping soon.
