Where are you running the amp ground to behind the seat? Just wondering if there's an existing ground bolt that people are using.
In the OP's pic below ..in the upper left ... there is a cable bundle going to a ground.
That is factory .. so i figured it would be safe for amp install too. I used that. No issues.

Wouldn’t this be too much of a draw on the hybrids electrical system? I remember reading somewhere 350w is really all it can take
Edit: here from Crutchfield https://www.crutchfield.ca/learn/2022-up-ford-maverick.html
If Ford sells hybrid Mavs with a 400w inverter ... i would assume a sound system of similar
wattage could be used without issue.

Beyond that 400w though ...who knows ..sounds like we have someone who will FAFO :)

Installed a Kicker L7R 10” with a Kicker Key 500.1 last night.

install was pretty straight forward. I used a 6” powersports amp kit and hooked up power and ground right at the battery. I used high level inputs of the key to utilize signal sensing (no need to run a remote wire).

I removed the light switch and mounted the bass knob in the black space. It’s a good location and doesn’t look out of place.

I spend a good amount of time playing with amp settings but ended up using my own vs the auto tune ones.

When mounting the amp to the back wall I used two existing bolts and just elongated 2 mounting holes on the key. I used some aggressive double sided tape on the back side as well and it’s super solid.

Special thanks to Chris at Sound Decisions. After the transaction I had my box in 2 days. High quality and made this install easy.

And sound ....how does it sound?
All the bass you want/need without rattles?

I got the Key500.1 also ...but not the bass knob ... i may end up ordering one.

Nice work/setup on yours.

Plenty of bass for me. I’ve had all sorts of subwoofers and installed hundreds of them and for the 550 dollars it sounds really good. Bass knob is key and the spot I found looks like it was made for it.

The only rattle I get is from the cab vent.

Which speaker channels did you tie into for hi level inputs?

I thought I got the correct blinks. The subwoofer can’t make a chime. The 200.4 has the happy chime.

I can’t complain for 500 dollars for sub, box, amp, and wiring. One of my two best mods. The other was the diode dynamic fog lights.
You got the sub, box, amp and wiring all for 500? Was this all from sound decisions?

I work at a shop. The big expense was the box.

Looks great - I will end up very similar. I bought the Kicker 10 and was going to build a box, but after taking time to do all the measuring and looking at the cuts I'd need, etc etc, I ordered from Sound Decisions yesterday.

My kicker key is sitting here waiting to be installed, so I'm trying to be patient, but also not looking forward to the DSP tuning. Took me forever to get it dialed in with the system I did in my F150 a few years ago. But then again, as I think someone else mentioned, the 200.4 is WAY more finicky to get dialed in than the 500.

Nice looking sub - Are you running it on 2 or 4 ohm?
