Autonation doesn't mark up MSRP on new cars so if you can find a stock Mav on the lot, you should get it at MSRP. Their new car pricing model is similar to Carmax's pricing in that what you see on the pricetag is what it is. That may be different in different states, but the Autonation Honda where my wife got her CR-V does not mark up MSRP on any new models. They save those markups for the used lot. When stock was low, it was literally cheaper to buy a brand new CR-V than it was to buy one 2-3 years old...even our salesperson got a kick out of that.

Yep they almost got me to bite on a Lariat EB except it didn't have the 4K tow package.

They all say "In Transit"
Right. And if the window stickers were looked at, almost certainly will be green custom orders versus blue stock orders. I'm on my phone on the bus otherwise I would spot check some of them.

Beats the email I got today from the dealership I ordered my Mav through.

“We have a Maverick XL arrived you may want”…click on link…$35k for a white vanilla XL.

I just checked my dealer's web site and my truck was the first on the list. Showing "In Transit". The stock picture has "Coming soon" and the truck has had 47 views in 7 days.

Dealers have quit contacting me with those offers.

Usually an excited text, like - "Cal - WE JUST GOT A MAVERICK THAT MIGHT WORK FOR YOU!!! WHEN CAN YOU COME SEE IT?!"

"I will buy it today, at MSRP"

This is why I ordered mine from Autonation(in MN). The first dealership I went to wanted an extra $2500 for the Tremor because of "limited allocation". They put those exact words on my order sheet.

Automation Katy Tx offered me a unclaimed’23 at MSRP no add-on’s this week. But it was EB no 4K which didn’t make sense for me. Will wait out my hybrid order.
I do believe they will treat you fair and not mark it up.

While I was just poking around I found 2023 Mavs on the Autonation website in abundance Priced from 23K to 26K. I must be loosing my mind. Is This for real?https://www.autonation.com/cars-for-sale?cnd=new|used|cpo&mk=ford&md=ford^^^maverick&bd=truck&yr=2023|2023
Those are all orders for private folks that have been waiting (just like us). Some Auto Nation dealers have used Mavericks on the lot, but you can expect extensive mark ups on the asking prices of those. I find it to be a waste of time searching those web sites.

Autonation in Fort Worth Texas area anyway seems to be standard. MSRP plus $1199 which includes tint, paint protection and door guards. This is on available units from cancelled orders. When I purchased mine these were the addons that were not optional. I did get $500 back from Ford which was expiring soon and obviously the 2022 price was lower than the 2023 price was so it was a wash and at least I got something for the cost and didn't have to wait. Best to have a salesperson who can call you when one is available there as the website is mostly preorders and you basically have zero chance of catching one in time otherwise. I was there twice. The first one sold as I was sitting at the table to fill out the paperwork. They gave me an hour when another came up 2 weeks later as they felt bad and we closed the deal. 2 people were sitting there waiting to see if my deal would fall through. It's crazy times lol. Basically a cancelled order info is passed to all the salespeople who start making calls then it's first come first serve to whoever gets there first and closes the financial documents. My salesperson had given me 2 chances at XL hybrids both in Atlas Blue but I wanted and XLT Ecoboost AWD so there are opportunities but not easy without a good salesperson.

That is how I found my Maverick. We had family over for my Sons birthday party and we were talking vehicles, since I had been shopping for a new one (My Escape was on its last legs) And a family member pulled one up on her phone. I called the dealership fully expecting it to be sold or someone else's order, but it was there. About 5 hours later we had the keys and were on our way home. Freak by chance right place / right time type scenario, but it can happen.
