i am running 235's i didn't even consider the extra weight when i ordered them. the ride might be a tad harsher, but the pressures are higher on them too. The OE tires were a couple lb's soft and these are 35-36 cold, they likely would be comparable I think with a drop in pressure. I also think they are only marginally noisier as well, i expected them to be noisier. Only got 1k kms on them so far, and only had the oe tires on for the 1k before that.

nokian outpost apt 225/65r17
26.5 lbs (haven't verified personally) edit: 29.8 lbs!
I believe these are the lightest 3-peak rated tires (edit: nope). Likely my next set unless something better comes along. LRR (low rolling resistance) too - so should keep hybrid mpgs high.

Update - Nokian spec sheet shows 29.8 lbs for these, which is about the same as all the other options.
Of note - Firestone destination AT2 are listed as 25.6 lbs... Only 55k mileage warranty, though.

I'll probably buy based on best price at the time of need.

When I put Falken 235s on my Bronco Sport I lost about 1 MPG. Liked them so much I had them moved them to my 2.0 Maverick when I picked it up.

Their bad rep from an issue Ford caused still seems to be sticking around, but I plan on swapping to firestone destination AT2s. 235/65r17 weigh 28lbs. Their reviews on tirerack and discount tire are great.

I had destination at's on my 94 ranger and they were way better than the goodyear wronglers that were on it.

I'm also debating on going to 235/70r17. A bit taller but skinnier than 245/65 everyone seems to gravitate to.
I’m curious what the bad rap on these are, haven’t seen it when researching these tires that I will probably also be going with once stock tires wear out
