Just picked up an iKamper Mini to complete my Maverick camping setup. I really can’t be any more impressed with this little unit. So well constructed and very high quality. I have an TruXedo ProX15 that works well with this set up and the Rhino Tack Vortex bars are mounted on Elevate TS rails from TruXedo.

Haven’t camped in the iKamper yet but I will share some pictures once I do. Very pleased with this setup.

Love camping but damn 3,000 and some I guess I'll wait :(... it looks awesome ready for weekend and weekday adventures!! Im so jelly I don't even have my truck but I had a build date for 4.20 haha 😅
I am perpetually confused about the value proposition of bed/rooftop tents. So freaking expensive, kill MPG, can change center of gravity of vehicle, and there are some negatives about the camping experience (compared to a conventional tent) as well. They are basically compulsory around here if you own a pavement queen Tacoma or 4-Runner, and I know several people with them who have used them literally zero times.

But, OP says they camp a lot, so maybe worth the splurge for them.

“Comfortably” is likely in the eyes / opinions of the individuals sleeping in them. :D

My wife and I tested it out Saturday night and it was just fine. We’re not huge with me at 6’ and her at 5’4” and didn’t have any issues. We had room for a few bags at our feet as well that didn’t bother us. It felt bigger than a full-size bed and slightly narrower than a queen.

Totally unrelated but I can't help but notice the Bronco Sport Outer Banks wheels you put on it. Looks nice. I wish the Maverick actually had that option.

@tjtpilot really like the setup, especially the clamp on rails (I rather not drill!!!). Can you specify what modifications you made to the rails and crossbar? The rails seem to only come in 72” from what I’m seeing. Thanks and congrats on the great setup!

edit: looks like the rails are available on their website, yay for no cutting!

I am a long time lurker and had to make an account specifically to comment on this post. That looks great! I have an iKamper mini on another vehicle and I have been trying to figure out how the profile would line up in the bed of the Maverick. I love that it's flush. Thank you so much for posting. I also have the Truxedo Sentry and just ordered the T Slot rails. I had my eye on the rhino feet that can slide in case I want access to the bed and the vortex bars you have here. What length are those bars?

I have an iKamper mini that I will put on the Maverick. I will say that I chases the race towers to be 6 inches above the cover. Makes a big difference n driving visibility as the rear view mirror can see under the iKamper . Being a couple inches above the roof did not really effect mileage and I think it has a good look.
