Just picked up an iKamper Mini to complete my Maverick camping setup. I really can’t be any more impressed with this little unit. So well constructed and very high quality. I have an TruXedo ProX15 that works well with this set up and the Rhino Tack Vortex bars are mounted on Elevate TS rails from TruXedo.

Haven’t camped in the iKamper yet but I will share some pictures once I do. Very pleased with this setup.

I like the low profile with the top of the cab.
If you don't mind, what was the cost?

Thanks everyone for the comments. I went with the lower profile in hopes of preserving fuel mileage by not having the iKamper above the cab and more exposed to wind resistance. Also did it too in part since I already had the Rhino Rack bars from my Ranger that I traded for the Maverick. Wife already says I’ve spent too much on accessories for this thing.

I looked locally for the iKamper and they were hard to find and all priced around $3,300 - $3,500 before sales tax. I found a place called Adventure 4x4 online and paid $3,141 which included tax and free shipping. They were great. Ordered it on Wednesday and it was Delivered Friday via FedEx Freight. Great process and super fast.

It was definitely a splurge but I like to camp and I’m too old to sleep on the ground anymore. Setup of this is about 1 minute, breakdown is the same. Really slick.

Nice! Betcha $10 of the poster below me's money that you'd get even better mileage if you mounted that backwards.

Put the fat end toward the cab, and the tapered down end by the tailgate, that will create a more natural teardrop shape and aid aerodynamics.

Also recommend a rearview mirror dashcam, that can overcome any visibility loss while protecting you from bad drivers. Here's an example of one, but there are a ton of options.

Unfortunately, I'm on the wrong side of "average" ... so I have to ask, what's the weight limit of a rig like this?

A quick search shows a ladder capacity of 330lbs and a tent capacity of 900lbs.

Pat, I'm by no means an expert but I believe if memory serves me correct I believe that our Maverick's have a max payload of 1,500 lbs. This iKamper mini weighs ~125 lbs, and the Rhino Rack bars I have have a dynamic (I think that's what it's called, meaning when you are moving) capacity of ~250 lbs, and a static capacity of 600 lbs, so rough math when camping and static (parked) you'd have the ability to put ~475 lbs in the tent and be in an ok place by way of the Rhino Rack, the truck would seem to do just fine with that too. Hope that helps but that's how I've done some rough calculations as I think of load and capacity.
