For those of you that will get their Mavericks, with the 110V in the bed, as well as in the back seat console. Are you planning to get a mini fridge for camping, or after riding your bikes? If you are planning to get one, will it be one that seats on the floor of the back seat? Or will you get one that can be bolt and lock on the bed?

Wouldn't a fridge draw too much current?

I've got a Coleman iceless cooler today does the trick for camping for me.

A smaller plug-in cooler or fridge will definitely be considered if/when my truck comes. Haven't researched that much yet, as the truck still feels like only a dream...but I will be following this post to see what others have planned!

AC plug powered only when engine running so could be problematic, fridgewise.

12v in the bed would work for a Dometic 12v cooler ~4.5amps

I have an ancient and small Victor Travel Cooler/Warmer that I use in my Bronco right now. It fits a 6-pack of soda and chills them nicely. I have been looking at newer ones with more capacity like the Koolatron 12v 27.5 Liter one or similar. I plan on sticking to 12v ones myself.

Ford has this portable refrigerator (https://accessories.ford.com/products/portable-mini-fridge-freezer), but it is $759. I've seen way cheaper ones in Amazon. I think the benefit of the fridge is that if I camp for a couple of days, I do not have to go looking for ice to replenish the cooler, and I don't have to deal with the melted ice. Can bring some nice steaks for everyday..

Now that I saw this thread....Yes!!! I’ll have to look up wiring in an outlet as I don’t believe the order I have included any bed outlets.

I planned on getting one for my 4Runner as it has both an AC power outlet and a 12 volt outlet in the rear but never bothered because space was a concern since my son’s stroller takes up so much room in the trunk. I really could have used it on some trips this past summer as sometimes you don’t want to drag a heavy playmate tote or cooler to the beach and just want stuff to be cold when your there for a day trip.

That looks cool. I've already got this one:
Damnit this place keeps costing me money. "Add to cart, go to checkout". :ROFLMAO:

Seriously though, I've been on the lookout for something like that for a while and that one is bigger, nicer and cheaper than the others I found. Thanks for posting that, it looks great for camping.

Regular AC mini-fridge is going to draw too much power on startup, you want a 12V chest cooler style if anything IMO.

Revisiting this thread:
Anyone see woot.com today? :)
Joytutus 42Qt/12v fridge on sale for $260 (rougly 32ish for fridge, 10 for freeze).Normally $330.

The Ford one is only 18 Qt.
1/3rd the price, twice the size. Seems like it might be a good deal, so I went ahead and ordered one myself :)
