Ignition worry?

happened once and then today it happened again: i turn the ignition and nothing happens. after several tries and flipping the key over it finally starts.
ignition does engage as dashlights come on etc; it just doesn't kick in the starter when i turn it all the way to the right

should i worry about this? '24 xlt

it's prob'ly one of those issues that if i take it back to the dealer they'll say they couldn't get it to behave like that.

I would check to make sure the battery cable clamps are tight.

My '23 Tremor did that a few times almost a year ago. I would get in and do my pre-start routine... get in, close door, put on seat belt, insert key and start the truck, only the starter didn't want to join the party.... what I ended up having to do to get it to start was, remove the key, remove my seat belt, open the drivers door, then close the door, put the belt back on, insert the key and then the starter joined in the festivities.

Hasn't done it since last summer -- and coincidentally after two software updates/ recalls, one for the taillights and one for the backup camera. The backup camera recall/ update seems to have affected a lot of things because I believe it changed the computers memory allocation protocol so the vehicle can multitask better.

I did mention it to the dealer prior to the backup camera fix and of course they "never heard of that happening before" LOL

Mine just did this Tuesday. Also have a consistent ACM code nearly every day. Have to get my boys to check it out.

As long as it starts eventually, I wouldn't worry. Let the dealer take a look when you have time.
