If you had a chance to order again what would you change?

I stumbled on mine at a dealership just after someone changed their mind mind on the one they ordered. Right place at the right time. I should have bought a lotto ticket too... lol. That being said, it was 90% as I would have ordered. Honestly, I don't think I would have ordered the Alto Blue if I was setting it up myself... but, dang it, I really like it more and more. It looks black until the light hits it right and the blue really has a great effect. I have the EB FWD and consistently get right at 30 mpg on the road. I kinda want AWD, but don't know it would make that big a difference for the way I use it ... plus, FWD has a simpler setup. Love the moonroof. I have the SIBL with cargo rails and inverter in the bed.. used them, they work great. I added the Ford REV tonneau cover myself and might have ordered that originally, not a problem since they are an easy install. I do that the tow package but haven't had a reason to tow anything yet.

Overall... very happy with this as it was ordered. .. except that radio... wish there was a better option for the radio.

The Dealer. I learned that Ford does not want you to order from your local dealer.
I would find the largest dealer within 200 miles and order from there
I think Ford, and "most" other vehicle manufacturers, agree with consumers that sales reps at Dealerships know less about the vehicles than the consumer. It's what I found at 4 local Atlanta dealers. NONE of those dealers would allow me to place an order with a deposit on a Maverick back in June of 2021, but were trying to sell me a different truck, usually a Ranger or F150.

I filled out the Ford Build & Price website (very easy) and Ford sent me the name of my nearest dealership to go place my order. Both Doravile and Sandy Springs dealers would not take my order, or added $5,000 to $7,000 to the Ford MSRP price I got from Ford, plus a $1,000 deposit, but did not want to provide documentation in writing. One example, Sandy Spring dealer wanted $399 to tint 2 front side windows, I got it done locally for $89.00. Spray in bedliner from dealer was $999.00, I had it installed at the same SIBL dealer for $549.

In frustration, found a dealer, sight unseen, 788 miles away that would take my order for a Maverick on July 30th, 2021, at Ford's own MSRP, since delivery date was unknown, no deposit required. Everything done thru Ford's Build & Price website and emails with the dealer. The last 5 new vehicles I have purchases were over the internet. Who wants to deal with dealer environment of trickery, price gouging and falsehoods, that's been my experience.

My experience is similar to yours….. I started getting serious about a buying a Mav just a few weeks after FMC stopped taking orders, and then quickly learned there essentially no dealer stock units available even to take a test drive.

On the very morning my wife and I were taking our on a college visit to Indianapolis, I got a hit on a Mav at a dealer up there on a customer declined order. Thankfully it hadn’t sold by the time I got there,

HPR is my second favorite color after Velocity Blue, and I think I’d like to have AWD. If I was ordering from scratch that’s probably what I would go with, but I’m very happy with what I have.

Nothing -- OR If Ford would allow for Adaptive cruise control on the XLT as an option I would have gotten that - AND I might flip a coin on the Cyber Orange. I love my Silver but I keep being drawn to the Cyber.

Current build - delivered last month - Silver XLT Hybrid, Lux, 360, No AWD, No 4k and Love it.

I am in the same boat waiting. It's an experience! Thats for sure. I would eliminate the lengthy wait time!
Best of luck - man- 9 months is terrible. You will love it when it arrives. It's worth the wait unless you find a very specific nit. Seems like all around the truck is good. Nothing huge to complain about anywhere.

Probably not change anything. I had a rental car a few years back with adaptive cruise control and I hated it. Did not know I could change the settings. From what I now understand about it, I probably would like it. Do not like that it is part of a 3K+ lux package!!!!

Currently have the XLT hybrid with lux package and CP360. I would have done Lariat for additional options like push start, leather seats, LED accent headlight/taillights, more ambient lighting, bigger digital gauge cluster. I don't regret the XLT though, my biggest gripe is the switchblade key
it’s kinda fun doing the switchblade noise imo

I would have ordered mine when I reserved it in August instead of waiting till October. I ordered a hybrid XLT with lux. Maybe I would have a build date by now if I had, or maybe not. Who Knows.
I ordered XLT LUX 8/27 and have not heard anything except from dealer that I am next up on dealers list. Due to LUX constraints I may get my Oct 26th XLT 4pin receiver order first. ???🤔

I ordered a Hybrid Lariat Lux, but kind of regretting that I didn't order the First Edition for just a tad more $$. I was worried about the moonroof staying clean under all the fir trees in my neighborhood. But I think the FE graphics are pretty cool.

I did NOT read the nine pages of the thread but off top of my head I wish I had ordered the hard folding bed cover and mud flaps. I know I can order the after the fact…

The biggest regret is not ordering back in June 2021 or at least August when I was able to get a close up look at a prototype… oh well, better late than never.

Me…I’d probably give Cactus Grey more consideration.
Id maybe order a moon roof. Its the only thing i keep mentally waffling on lol thankfully i already went for the cactus grey haha the more i see it the more i understand why you’d want to change to it. The broncos in my area look amazing in it
