Looking at how things are going, and the fact that my Nov 1 order will be constrained for several reasons I'm pretty much resigned to ending up with a 2023.

If only I would have ordered a few days earlier I could have gotten the first edition hybrid i actually wanted. (Dealer took the order in October and when I never got a confirmation email I found that the order had been rejected by Ford as they had quit taking FE orders).

Ah well, such is life.

One thing that may be a silver lining is that new features may come our way for the 23 model year.

Beyond price increases I wonder what will change. A new paint color or two perhaps? That mythical AWD hybrid? Fog lights?

What do you think?

Bronco Sport axle? Maybe the Rattler? I would wait. Maybe if I knew.

I'm confident the only things that will change are the price and possibly the color options.
Thats my guess too honestly. Depending on colors I may change from A51, but I do like it quite a bit.

There's also the worry that if I change anything I'll lose my price protection.

I would also like to know since my order hasn't been scheduled yet. If the 2023 fixes all the little annoyances of the 2022 then I don't mind getting rolled into a 2023 at this point.

With the Bronco orders that have been carried over they were price protected by Ford so I wouldn't worry about it. I have a Bronco order in and was told to expect 2 years for a production date so I was also concerned about it.

What? As they're asking customers to delete their 360 option?? 😂 If anything the 360 package will change to a bunch of polaroid cameras mounted on the truck with strings attached to them and leading back to the driver's seat.

My assumptions are nothing major since it'll be an iteration over 2022 and not an overhaul.
The changes I would expect in the next couple of years:
A bigger screen and/or move it, dropping the pocket next to the screen
Rear under-seat storage becoming optional
Rear window defroster in lux packages
360 camera
Heated rear seats in Lariat Lux
Cooled seats in Lariat Lux
More Fits items and slots
The usual minor body changes, like tail light accents, grill design, etc.
