I'm not sure you can even order a 2022 Ranger anymore, and even if you could- you are back to waiting!i am going to cancel my 2022 Maverick, thinking about going for 2022 Ranger.
what would be the point of that- buying an inferior vehicle for more $ ? To "punish Ford" for making you wait longer than you expected due to global events beyond their control? There's an old saying about "not cutting off your nose to spite your face" that seems relevant hereIf you are going to spend that much and evidently don’t need the towing capacity since you were going maverick, go look at the Santa Cruz.
If I get pushed to a 23, my first stop is ford to get my deposit back, then straight to Hyundai to pick up a Santa Cruz.
Not 'allows', dealer contracts. But regardless if it is an actual customer order they should not be adding ADM. If they do, report them to Ford there are consequences. If its a dealer stock order or a customer order that was refused then yeah, the dealer can charge whatever they want to.For me its not the wait but the mark up that ford allows on ordered vehicles, just lost any respect for a company like that.
Whatever you decide you might want to consider keeping that Maverick order. Most likely you sell it to the dealer or 3rd party for a premium when it does arrive.i am going to cancel my 2022 Maverick, thinking about going for 2022 Ranger.

Agree with others.....let your Mav order play out regardless. It's better to have options if/when it comes in. In the interim, if you can find a '22 Ranger that meets your needs & budget, go for it. Yes, it's outdated but it's still a solid, capable small truck. Just depends what you like & need.i am going to cancel my 2022 Maverick, thinking about going for 2022 Ranger.
Not everyone cares about getting the latest bells and whistles, especially if you are keeping it for many years.I'm not sure you can even order a 2022 Ranger anymore, and even if you could- you are back to waiting!Surely you know the current Ranger is an 11 year old platform that is being replaced by a new generation for the 23/24 model whenever it is released? I'm very curious to see what the new Ranger looks and drives like, but it appears to be about 1 year away from introduction in North America.
