I lived in Ft Lauderdale for awhile. Less muggy then the crappy state of Illinois.Move down south.
Less snow,
I escaped Florida, way too muggy.

That sounds just about right. Considering eastern Missouri myself.I used to have a love-hate relationship with winter and snow. A walk on a CT trail in an in-progress snowstorm can be a magical life event. Going up an icy hill with my old RWD Ranger with summer tires, standard transmission - not so great (I specialized in not taking my own advice to get snow tires).
Here in the WNC mountains it is perfect. A few days of pretty snow each winter, gone in a day or two. Just hibernate till it's gone, and admire the pretty snow-capped mountains.

Glad you had room to move over. That would have been a nice dash cam video for all of us to see!I love snow.
Just this week I was driving down the state road when a monster plow truck approached, its massive plow slightly over the double yellow line. Of course I slowed down and steered onto the shoulder of the road. Nevertheless, alarms went off and the instrument panel lit up bright red with the message "Collision alert! OMG we're all going to die!" or words to that effect.
I love snow. Good snow tires make all the difference.

I'm not a fan of winter, but at least if you wear appropriate clothing you can be comfortable outside. Is there any way to dress properly so you can be comfortable outside in 125 degree Arizona heat?Thank you. But no way!! Left NY for AZ 30 years ago, not looking back.
