Read the fine print bud.
ALL these warranties start from brand new & 1st miles.
It is not 3 year & 36k miles starting when you pay for the warranty!!
You already get a 3 year 36k mile bumper to bumper (non-wear items) factory warranty from Ford, thats the reason its quoted so cheap you're just giving the warranty company free money, if theres a problem in 3 years 36k miles the warranty firm will just be reimbursed by Ford.

Same with buying a 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranty, you ALREADY have a 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranty from Ford.

The ONLY warranties that make ANY sense are the max year & max miles warranties, when you pay $4000 for a 7 year 100k mile warranty, you are actually only paying for an additional 7-5=2 year & 100k-60k=40k mile powertrain warranty
& stuff like suspension parts & electrical 7-3=4 year or 100k-36k=64k miles extra coverage.

The electrical here is only extra for ecoboost,

The hybrids electrical system, motor-generator, 460vdc traction battery, inverters, 12VDC dc-dc converter fed by the traction battery, is Ford warrantied for 8 years 100k miles so guess what you get extra buying a 7year 100k mile warranty for a hybrid electric powettrain?
Zero zilch, giving free money to a warranty firm who then is reimbursed by Ford.

THATs why warranty costs skyrocket for more than 7 years 100k miles because those may have expenses the warranty firm will need to actually pay for - but if they can sell a bunch of "super deals on 3 year 36k warranties" thats guaranteed 100% pure profit for the warranty firm, even if your vehicle blows up tomorrow
I bought the Ford Premium Plan from Granger. Not even close to $4000. Ten years and 100,000 miles. So yes, I really am just getting an additional seven years and 64,000 miles for items other than powertrain, but even there I am getting another five years and 50,000 miles. It is well worth it to me for the piece of mind. What with $1000 headlights, and all the computers and electrical things that could go haywire it is comforting to know I'm covered. To each his own I guess.

I am about to finish the deal on a 25 Eco boost lariat with the Granger guys, in all honesty the 5 years 60000 miles for $810 does look attractive.
Dude you already have a powertrain warranty for 5 years 60,000 miles, the extra warranty you bought was 5-3 = 2 extra years OR 60k-36k=24k extra miles whichever comes first.

Thats why the 7 year 100k mile warranties cost 3x the 5 year because you are getting 3x the extra coverage that you dont already have.

The ONLY warranties worth considering are either the longest duration if you dont drive alot OR the longest miles if you drive alot per year.

I am coming to the end of my 3/36 warranty, with only a 1200 miles and 4 month left I have decided not to buy a extended warranty. My Maverick has been problem free and yes I know that doesn't guarantee a problem free future but I am going to take my chances.
I see you have an ecoboost, not a hybrid. Your call, what could possibly go wrong with an Ecoboost?

When I bought my 2025 Maverick Lariat Hybrid I purchased an extended warranty. This is the first time in my near 70 years of doing this. Why?
1. Fords recent history of recalls, and reliability record.
2. The Lariat has so much electronics and safety related pieces and the cost to repair them is very high.
3. I hold onto a vehicle for 12-14 years with high mileage typically.
A single major claim pays for the warranty. It's a roll of the dice, for sure, and given the above I thought it might pay off.

I agree with you and did buy a warranty for the first time. Specifically due to item One on your list and only the second purchase of a Ford in my lifetime. It's been 45 years or more.
