I can 100% say the OP would LOVE a Hybrid....from what he is describing. I will never get an Eco Maverick if the Hybrid is still available. It's a no brainer....in some circumstances.
You really like the hybrid….nit worried about the hybrid battery at all?

He did say he wasn't a fast driver...I think. Says he drives easy these days. Don't think he'll "miss" the Eco power. :):):)
Yes I try to get decent mileage out of my eco boost
I drive respectable

Nope, so far so good 2024 XLT 30,000 miles I’ll probably trade it in for lariat when I hit about 70-80k. Hybrid has been awesome. My first one and I LOVE it. I also have an F250 Diesel for the big boat and trailers and stuff, but the hybrid Maverick rocks!!! The F250 sits so much now I worry about its batteries….😂😂😂

Can anyone explain the customer cash back?
Hybrid
I see for new 25’s….a 1,000 rebate
There is also a $1,500 loyalty bonus cash

Can these be used together?

The Hybrid has plenty of power compared to most other compact vehicles, but it’s not an EB! The EB is a fun drive. You will notice the difference when you press the pedal. If you were coming from a lot of SUVs you may notice the hybrid feels fast. Otherwise, an XLT is An XLT. The eCVT was a much easier transition than the CVT in my Accord. Two great choices, but if you are coming from the EcoBoost you really need to take a test drive… you’re losing a TURBO!
Also I am driving 4500mi/yr and I have not had a single issue even after occasional parking for 5-6 weeks. So far my 10.2k miles short trip driving has ticked up to 45.0mpg lifetime (not many hills here).
2025 EB Mavs go 0-60 around 6.2 seconds.

2025 Hybrid Mavs go 0-60 in 6.7 seconds.

I've owned both a 2023 Ecoboost and now a 2025 Hybrid. Ecoboost was fine, and fun but the 8F35 and lack of refinement in the EB (SingerBoost) makes the Hybrid a no brainer for me.

Especially in 2025+ models with the upgraded HF55 which really closed the gap in performance between the two drivetrains.

MY24 Hybrid and original “lowlife” battery is just fine. Plenty of threads about “sleep mode” on MTC but OMG if I ever stepped into my Mav and the dome light didn’t come on I would absolutely flip out!
I come from a day when everyone told me to never buy a turbo… I think we’re past that. Hybrids have been around for a few months now, I think they got better.
We have a 2011 Prius sitting in FL. Over 200k miles and yes we have lost a few MPG because batteries do get old and lose efficiency (we know about rechargeable batteries right?). Will finally change the brakes this year. I hate that car, but it won’t die! The Mav Hybrid is a much better vehicle than 2011 old tech.
Oh wait, 10 seconds of searching and I found all the problems with the 2.0 EcoBoost. https://myenginespecs.com/ford/ford-2-0-turbo-engine-common-problems-and-consequences/
Oh no… what should we do now??? NOTHING, both engines are great choices. Make your choice and pretend these are modern times!(y)

Go drive a Hybrid and see how it compares to yours. We have a 26 hyb/awd and a 23 awd ecoboost in our family and they are both great vehicles. Neither of them is designed to be an all out performance vehichle nor for maximum efficiency - they are both (relatively) affordable utility vehicles.

The loyalty $1500 and a rebate are two separate things and should be usable together. You might even be able to swing the Farm Bureau $500 discount, but they might balk at that.

So unless you drive a lot…a hybrid wouldn’t really help very much?
Drive less than 6,000 miles a yr
Very short trips to work…. Like a 2 miles😁

Give me your thoughts and opinions

I have the 24 eco… but I am intrigued about a hybrid
I purchased a 2023 Hybrid over the Mach E as I wanted the ability to drive long distance when needed without worries of charging along the way. I do use the pick up bed and use it as a light duty truck. I have been Happy with the power/performance of the combined 2.5l and electric motor and I don't get passed going uphill by and can still get a solid 34-36 mpg at highway speeds. I do most of my driving intown but regularly drive to larger towns like El Paso TX. That being said, about a year later I bought a 2023 Mach E premium AWD to use as well and it is fantastic for local use. I have solar on my home and produce more than I use so charging it at home is virtually free. I have about 200 mile range and on out of town trips I just go to a DC fast charger for just enough additional charge for my return trip. I truly love them both for different reasons and I have to admit that the Mach E is the fastest car I own from 0 to 70, that includes my 65 Mustang 2+2 and 90 5.0 convertible.

I have the 24 eco… but I am intrigued about a hybrid
I bought a new Toyota Camry hybrid in 2008 and put 264K miles on it. Changed the oil every 5K miles and never had a single problem. Averaged 38.5mpg over 11 years. Traded it in for a new 2019 Rav4 hybrid and have been averaging the same. Excellent car. Bought a 1999 GMC Sierra new in '99 and put 296K trouble-free miles on it. In January, 2025, it decided it was time to go to that great truck stop in the sky. Donated it to Kars4Kids and began the search for a new truck. Did not need a full-sized pickup as the days of hauling tons of rock, trees, lumber, and being the default mover for relatives and friends are in my rearview mirror. Drove the Canyon, Colorado, Frontier, Tacoma, and Ranger. Liked the Tacoma and Ranger but the prices were crazy. While at the Ford dealer, the sales guy suggested I give the Maverick a try. They had both the EB and the hybrid. Drove them both and it was a no-brainer for me. Ordered a 25 Lariat hybrid black package with 4K towing, black window deflectors, moon roof, 19" wheels with locking lugs, power rear window, in carbon grey. Picked it up in November '25 and have put just over 6K trouble-free miles on it. Love everything about it. And with gas in Commifornia at $5.59 per gallon, I really love the 39.7 average mpg. Better mileage than I got with both of my prior hybrids. Yesterday, I brought home 250lbs. of topsoil and over the 9.4 mile drive, the little beast got 43.2mpg. Yup, I'm loving it!

Maybe I will check into it more

Do you have to drive differently…like really slow your the pedal down I drive easy these days

Not at all. I experimented with the driving modes the first couple of days but now I just leave it in Normal mode. I just hop in and drive like usual, it's remarkably comfy.
I had a '22 Hybrid that I replaced with a '24 Eco and yes, you do need to drive differently if you want to get the maximun mileage benefit. To do that you need to stay in electric mode as much as possible on short trips. There are dashboard indicators that you can display to tell you when you are in electric or gas mode. Once you cross over to gas you lose the benefit and the best way to get back to electric is to ease off the pedal and slow down to stay in that zone. After awhile you get used to managing that more consistently, but there is a learning curve.

It sounds like you drive about 450 miles a month. For cost benefit I would suggest you determine how much of that is city driving for short trips. For those miles figure you would get 10-12 miles more per gallon with a hybrid. If 250 of those miles are city and you stayed mostly in electric it would take about 7-8 gallons as opposed to 11 gallons with the Eco or around 3.5 gallons a month or around 42 gallons a year. Is that cost savings worth it is the question. Most of my driving is in town but when I do take longer trips I love the extra power of the Eco when I need it and it is more enjoyable to drive. I figured the Eco would cost me around $150-$200 a year more in gas annually and for me it was worth it. Test drive a hybrid and have the sales person show you how the gas/electric display works. If you drive the hybrid the same way you would an Eco you will not get much benefit. Good luck.

Nice color.

Gas in Redmond, Wa is up to $5.99/gal depending on the station.

I do not fuel up in Redmond.
