It probably doesn't mean anything, but I now get a 404 error when I click the "View Online" button of my confirmation email....

Ford actually had a version of this type of eCVT before Toyota.

in 2005 Ford actually used an ASIN ( Toyota ) ECVT trans. Supplied by Toyota before building it themselves -

They did not have it before Toyota they purchased the rights to use it. Ford earlier did use a ZF sourced CVT transmission which was total garbage.

Same thing happens to me. It started this week. I have a hybrid XL on order since July 21st.

I think technically Ford and Toyota both used a transmission company called Aisin, Ford started making the eCVT design in-house some time ago.
Aisin is Toyota's subsidiary company for producing transmissions.

Edit: Email received about 20 minutes ago. 📣

Have not received an email, but spouse, who also has a Maverick hybrid ordered, called Ford an hour or so ago. He was able to get a VIN for my hybrid HPR Lariat Luxury 360 but no build date. He messaged the sales manager at our local dealership who says there's a build date or 11/22. (Yay! I hope.)

His hybrid RR FE is, of course, still in limbo.

Just reserved a dealer stock eco boost. Wasn’t in too big of a rush when I ordered my hybrid back in June, but with earliest I would get my hybrid being January/February I can’t wait that long given the work my current car needs before the snow starts flying.

I really liked the idea of the hybrid for fuel savings and the $5k savings over the awd 4k ecoboost, but I guess the more peppy engine, awd, and ability to tow more will be nice to have.

I know lots has been said about these recent ford launches already, but I just wish Ford would have been more upfront about the hybrid availability from the start. I know the pandemic supply chain excuses etc.. but this feels pretty well planned that they wouldn’t be making many hybrids out of the gate.

Oh well, I guess I’ll keep my hybrid on order and since new cars aren’t depreciating assets anymore maybe I can trade in my ecoboost when my hybrid comes in without taking a financial hit.

Put the VIN and order number in the tracker and see what comes up.
