So I am wondering what the status of the complete failure issue is? It makes me nervous and afraid to take the truck very far from home. Does anyone know if a TSB (technical service bulletin) has been issued? Or perhaps it is a recall issue? From some of the posts I’ve seen, the culprit is either a bad solder joint or a bad wiring harness.
If anyone knows something definite, I’m sure all of us hybrid owners would like to hear about it! Thank you!

Not sure what you mean. Is there a thread post on this somewhere else?
No issues with my Lariat FE Hybrd .... so far so good (see signature when I took delivery).

This past week my Maverick XLT Hybrid was towed to my dealership as my battery was dead for 2 straight days. Mav was at dealership for 4 days and what they found was a parasitic draw from the a kinked LVDS Cable Wire. They replaced LVDS Cable and I just picked up my Mav today. So far working fine. Hopefully I have no further issues.

I knew a guy who got t-boned in his car on Good Friday in Georgia. That's why I never drive in Georgia, or on Fridays.

My wife says I'm being a moron by basing my driving decisions on ANECDOTAL EVIDENCE of a THING, that happened to a GUY, instead of using logic and statistical evidence. Women!

It would be nice to know if the issue has been corrected in the factory before orders open up again.

I always call in sick to work on Friday the 13th, can't risk it.

We’ve been waiting 30 days for our battery wiring harness. I highly recommend anyone with the hybrid to get a portable jump starter. You may be able to jump it to limp home or to the dealer. Some aren’t able to jump theirs, though. Ours was able to be jumped to get onto the tow truck.

A Facebook post I saw said the dealer can look up your VIN to see if your truck may be affected by the wiring harness issue. He checked his status during an oil change. He also said according to the service manager at his dealership there is no official recall because the wiring harness is backordered.

Did it have a date range for affected ones?

checked the whole post and didn’t see that info, unfortunately. He did say his was built in December and wasn’t flagged for the fix, very strange. The post is from the Hybrid Maverick group on Facebook (can’t link it here unfortunately)

That is strange as I believe someone with a March build posted a thread that he had the issue...
