I want a HUD too, but with the hybrid coach or that 'power gauge' as display.
Early on I toyed with the idea of using a compact camera mounted on the column pointed at the IC relaying to a small screen to show the EV Coach closer to the hoodline.

As it is I just have a basic GPS driven speedometer HUD I've been using for years. I've heard some of the OBD ones can get confused by hybrids, though I've considered upgrading so I can see coolant temp to know when EV driving is available (sometimes the EV coach blue box lies about that).

Thinking about this but would like to get some feedback if anyone has already tried it.
I'm not sure about the model that you linked since your profile shows (like mine) that you have a hybrid.

I've heard some of the OBD ones can get confused by hybrids
In fact, the product page for the f150leds unit says: "NOTE: HUD unit will not function while the truck is in hybrid/electric mode."

So far the tack is the only function that i have noticed that drops to zero while running on electric motor. Speed, Temp, Fuel all seem to work fine. This model unit has a lot of customization but I mostly stay on MPH, Tack and clock. Sometimes fuel. The auto brightness works well and the imagery colors are clean and crisp. I am fine with it as is and it is not annoying in my view.

Are you still satisfied with this product since you posted about it? Any other issues arise related to using it in your hybrid? Any battery drain issues? It looks like a pretty cool product. Thanks!

Unfortunatly I have to say that I have lost my satisfaction with it. It worked pretty well for a long time and then 4 weeks back the time on the display started to go to be off. Now, it is always off time even after I correct it. Very annoying. I contacted F150LED and have had no response from them so I can longer endorse their products. Stay away from F150LED. They are not customer orientated.

Thank you for following up but I have since lost interest and tossed the device. I did like it when it was working. It was a nice option to have and I did not have to wear driving glasses because the display characters were large enough.
