Thank you! I want ACC, but not at the price of a lariat.
There are some folks that have retrofitted the ACC with factory parts and FORScan updates. It can be done and details are in another thread somewhere. My understanding is that some have gotten OP to work with it, but I don't know the details.

I have the 3X up and running on my '22 Lariat Hybrid (with ACC and Lane Centering).

It was an absolute PITA to install. The cables are simple enough, but the firmware doesn't support the Mav, at least my model, right off the bat. There is an issue with the Hybrids where a checksum error gets thrown, so they don't enable it by default (for the time being, that may change). That error will disengage OP and driver has to take over immediately. So far it has not happened to me after 20+ hours of use, but I stay diligent. In order to get the firmware working, you either have to create your own fork of the stock comma.ai software, download it from someone that has, or SSH the edits in directly. It took me abut 20 minutes to wire it up. An entire day to figure out the issues and get them working on mine. The Discord channel was super helpful, but they are all pretty advanced software people and I am certain I annoyed them throughout the course of my install. I am happy to share the link for the version I used if anyone needs it, but not 100% certain it's still active.

Now that it's working, it's pretty great. Worth $1,500? Your call, but I can afford it and I plan to keep it.

The lane centering / self driving is fantastic. It rarely needs to be disengaged and I've driven an hour+ on the highway without having to engage. No nags to grab the wheel, but it does nag if you aren't paying attention since it's interior camera tracks you. It handles modest curves much better than stock lane centering and shows you it's predicted path, so if something coming up looks sketchy, you can see if it's tracking it.

The longitudinal control (gas and braking) is another factor. On the base firmware it uses the factory ACC - which works pretty well. You can toggle on OP's control which I think could potentially be better than factory at some point, but right now it modulates the throttle way to much for comfort and seems to be forever hunting for the right speed. I also noticed that it doesn't get up to the speed I set it quickly enough, or at all, which is frustrating. I just went back to the stock firmware.

Overall, I am really happy with it and am hopeful it will continue improving. There are other forks of the firmware that have a lot of promise as well and I haven't tried them. After my trauma from the initial install I'll probably wait a while before venturing into that world. The improved lane centering is really good and that combined with the factory ACC makes for a solid combo.
So it is not for me for now since I have a hybrid and am not an expert with software?

That's really your call. I've been incredibly happy with it, but having some technical skill is helpful if you need to do any troubleshooting. They do have a 30 day return policy, so you can try it and send back if you can't get it working. The more Mav users that have it, the more focus I hope they'll place on fixing some of the gremlins...

I read that post, I was just hoping for a plug and play option. Thanks everyone for the info, and thanks OP for putting this out there.

So it is working flawlessly with hybrid Maverick?
I don’t use it myself but was looking into it. I just saw that the latest update adds some new functionality for ford like the button for car spacing and the fix for hybrids

I followed the guide on here and installed the ACC on my 24 xl hybrid.
I also bought the comma 3x at the same time. I’ve put over 1100 miles on the 3x so far out of 3000 on my truck and love it. Currently running frog pilot but may move to some more experimental versions as I get more comfortable but it works awesome. You still have to pay attention but it is amazing how good it is right now.
