On the whim, I ordered yet another wireless adapter from Amazon and it arrived today. I plugged it in and it booted up right into CarPlay. It’s so weird. I guess these things have a short lifespan.
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on an issue I’ve been experiencing. I have purchased a couple of different wireless Car Play adapters for my 23 Mav Hybrid. When they work,, they are a great feature. It seems that they would work for a month and then mysteriously stop working for a day...
I believe so...but it's been a while. If I remember correctly I took it up to an automotive wiring place nearby and they helped me find the correct wire to tap in to.
Here are the links you requested. Very straight forward. The Curt wiring harness lets you "get power" from a 4-pin connector so you don't use the Maverick 4-pin connector on the hitch. If you do use the installed Mav 4 pin connector, the truck thinks you've attached a trailer. Hope that...
I installed a Putco light bar using the Curt wiring harness, running cable to battery under the back seat (hybrid). I attached it with strong magnets I purchased on Amazon. It does cover the spare tire hole but should be "easily" pulled down if I need to access the tire. It has been in place...
Are you still satisfied with this product since you posted about it? Any other issues arise related to using it in your hybrid? Any battery drain issues? It looks like a pretty cool product. Thanks!
UPDATE: After a bit more trouble shooting it appears that my USB-A port is no longer working. Guess that would explain why I couldn't access Car Play with a cable either. When I finally got a USB-C cable, it started right up again. Thankful there was a second option with the USB-C. Thanks...
Has anyone had any problems with Apple Car play recently? Lariat trim. A wireless Car Play adapter has worked flawlessly for almost 7 months. Started having problems while on a recent 12 hour drive. Cannot even connect with a wired connection. Bought a new wireless adapter, still no...
Definitely frustrating! Repaired one chip a couple of months ago. Picked up two more a couple of weeks ago and one quickly grew to 12+ inches. Had a new windshield installed yesterday. How long will this one last???
The original Putco blade I received did not have a wiring harness that plugged into the taillights - only the box that then would plug into a 4 pin trailer connector. The Curt harness provided the connections to the taillights and then provides an independent 4-pin connector for the Putco blade...
I have the same Putco product and had the same issue. I ultimately added the Curt wiring harness for the Maverick and now don’t have any issues with the lightbar. With the Curt harness, everything functions as it should. Unfortunately it adds more expense to an already expensive product.
Sorry to keep asking you questions...I did reach out to Bullseye with a few questions but didn't get a response. Did you have to remove the grill to install these? Did you have to drill through the grill to run the wires through? Thanks again!
They look really great. The Bullseye website says that they are completely ply and play. Can you elaborate on what that really means. Did you have to tap into anything or find a power source? How do the light attach to the grill? Thanks!
Would you be able to provide a measurement of the length of the hood scoop? I have the factory installed PPF film and want to determine if the scoop would overlap at all (and therefore not adhere properly). It looks like it would be close but would like to know before I order it. Thanks!
