Yes! Moving on.
Please show us issues that have occurred on Mavericks from carbon buildup on valves. We're waiting.

Are they truly necessary or just another way for an aftermarket company to take your money for a 'mod'?

Until shown sufficient evidence, I have to believe that this is an overblown problem which serves the companies who sell these "fixes". Plus it scratches an itch for the DIYers who want to build a better mouse trap. Problem is that there might not actually be a problem and there's no mice to catch.

🤷‍♂️
I can assure you it's a real problem. Will it be a noticeable issue for everyone? No, it depends on a lot of variables but it will degrade performance, fuel mileage and could potentially cause running issues like misfires. I don't really understand why people think this is a myth. I have personally cleaned ecoboost valves quite a few times. I guess ignorance is bliss but there's a reason Ford added port injection (In conjunction with DI) to the 2.0 ecoboost engine on the Ford Escape for 2024. Toyota has been doing it for many years (Running both). If you have an engine with only direct injection it's not really a matter of if it happens, it's a matter of when it happens.

I think most are just looking for more general statistical information, devoid of "opinion". Unfortunately, it just doesn't exist, for obvious reasons.

Anecdotally, there are several Mav's here on the forum with 100K+ miles, I've not noticed any complaints from the subject at hand. Again, just another observation among many, that doesn't necessarily prove anything. I suspect, in the coming years, we'll see if in fact this is a trend for the Mav or not.

Seems they should add a port injector on the Maverick 2.0 as well.

Ya but then the complaints of the price going up would be huge. Lol I agree would be nice but they are trying to keep
Cost down.

I'm gonna buy a walnut smelling air freshener, just in case I have to have my valves cleaned
That’s probably the most fool proof way to avoid it.

Well raising prices almost 5k whilst removing features doesn't seem like that's their main goal .... BTW a neighbor around the corner just got a Maverick EB AWD lariat. Going to have to bring him a 6 pack for a test ride.

It would take some costly rd to do it then a whole set of injectors, as a posed to dropping some futures. Heck I was happy my xl came with cruise. They added that since 22 on the xl.
