Update:
Ended up jumping temporary power to the fuse box as recommended to shift the vehicle to neutral. I Read the owners manual before I sent my request for help from the board after I quickly realized it didn’t apply to the hybrid Maverick .
The vehicle was blocking the team moving my sons house and it was a little frustrating, I apologize for the short choppy sentences and poor grammar. Thanks for all the help to all who showed support and to the judgmental I wish you a problem free life.
Peace

So now we know one thing for sure.

One of the cubbies under the rear seat is for holding jumper cables. That single $25 device will save a lot of time and headache.

a Portable Jump Starter $50
One of my first purchases, fortunately I haven't need it after 8,400 miles.

I love my Maverick Hybrid, but shit like this makes me roll my eyes and sigh. So if the 12v battery dies, you have to jump the vehicle just to be able to shift the transmission into neutral?

Who is the genius that engineered that?

Why not just jump start the truck and move it with its own power?

The truck suffered a total power failure not just a dead battery. I needed to shift to natural to push it out of the driveway to complete moving my son into his house. A tow truck showed up a few hours later to take it back to the dealer for repair.

After you jumped it, did you try actually starting it and driving it under its own power? Or did you just default to putting it into neutral and pushing it?

Most of the time, you should've been able to drive it just fine once jumped.

The battery jump only let us shift to neutral, still had no power for motion.

Good morning! I would be happy to look into your power loss concern on my end. Could you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info?

I was thinking the same thing about the genius who engineered it! Lol im so glad i bought the ecoboost instead ,i just had a hunch since its a new model an has a hybrid engine it would have all sorts of problems that would only be known an fixed by letting time run its course an things to happen to it ! I do know one thing this ecoboost is super zippy an after driving for a year i havent had any problems whatsoever! knock on wood.. hope they get all the people with hybrids fixed up an work out all the kinks soon ,wishing you all here a blessed day!

It is a PowerSplit, so there is no true neutral. The powertrain has to be powered up. This is also Ford's 4th generation of this hybrid powertrain.
