You’re correct I did not comprehend the reason for the question. But more so my mirror heaters do not come on unless I press the button. So why do yours come on automatically with the key? My steering wheel heater works like that if I turn it on then off at the button then turn the key off do the heaters come on by themselves the next time you turn the key on?
I confirmed that the mirror heater will not come automatically with the key actuation when it is off when the key is turned off it apparently remembers what was last on when you shut off the Maverick.

Depending on settings you can have the heated mirror, steering wheel and climate controls come on with remote start (at least with the key fob remote start, I don't use Fordpass). I assume that is what is happening to the OP. By default these all turn on with remote start depending on temperature and humidity. The settings are changeable in the remote start start settings in the driver control panel.

There are also settings to keep things as you left them the next time you start the vehicle.
I don't use the remote start. That's why I posted the original question.

I didn’t use the remote start either. Turn off the heated mirrors then the key and the mirrors will remember that the next time you turn the Maverick on.

Mine had a setting in one of the menus.

But I've not been cold enough to test it.
My heaters do NOT come on automatically in the 40's. Coldest it has been here.

They are always off. I haven't needed them.

Now that it is getting colder out, I see that every time I start my truck, the Heated Mirrors are enabled. Is there a way to disable them from automatically coming on at every start? I looked in the manual and can't find anything. It is just useless to have them on when not needed.
Why would a normal, rational, thinking human being even care? You're mirrors are heated so they don't fog up, and you can see things in them. There isn't a downside. It costs maybe .0001% in MPG and makes your driving experience better.

If they are off when the truck is shutoff, they should not self restart, at least mine don't. If they do, check the 'climate' settings.

There aren't any adjustments for climate except for when using remote start.

Thank you for your lack of intelligence in your response. Your assistance is overwhelming.
Well, help me out. I've apparently been living under a rock, in a cave for a while now so tell me why you want to turn off the heated mirrors?

Heated steering wheel does not turn on when truck starts. But when below a certain temp the mirrors and wiper deicer do.
That's not what mine does. I've had the wheel come on a couple times without the seats actually.

Same reason as If I don't want the lights, wipers, radio, heat, etc. on. Why have them on if not needed?
