So how are we determining mirror heat is on. Do we have to consider that an led being on indicates that the heat is activated and may or may not be actually heating because it's not needed. Is this one of those things where led off is where heat will never come on and yellow is where it's ready to come on and red is where heat is actually occuring. I don't even know where mirror heat switch is. Has anyone aimed a temperature gun at the mirrors? Be sure you pick up the correct pistol as we don't need a "Aaarrrggghhh I assassinated my mirror" thread.

I actually did use a temp gun on the mirrors, when I was trying to see if the Heated Wiper Park was working after having my Windshield replaced. Definitely saw higher temp on the mirrors, never did on the windshield, but it works as it melted ice the first time it frosted.

Yay on temp gun verification. The heat wire in the windshield is very fine and hard to see. I can see about 3" of mine through the clear part of the glass below the "Soundscreen" label. Appears to be headed towards what looks like the center of an eye which might be where it exits glass for a pigtail? I doubt it is that though. You might shoot this area with heat gun when it's on?

Think that's wierd. Have always had to turn that on. Unless you left it on when you shut down the car.

I always (maybe?) If it's below 45 or so I turn seats and wheel on and set cabin to automatic 67-68 and usually turn wheels and seats to level one whenever around 50 and off at around 58-60. Most of time I have them off unless trip was really short.
