I was looking a while back, and Ford parts lists multiple different physical mirrors - manual, power, power w/o heat & w/o spotter lens, power w/o heat & w spotter lens, power w heat w spotter lens. In my last car it was as simple as running power from a dash switch to a replacement mirror glass with the built-in heating element (which was easy to find aftermarket), but it may be a while before there are any aftermarket replacement mirror glass pieces for Mavericks.I too am wondering this, I have access to prodemand at work and have been looking up diagrams and such on it, has anyone with the xl and manual mirrors had the door panel off yet? curious if they have the wires and connector there or not and it may just be a case of get power mirrors and the new driver's door window switch panel that has the mirror control on it
well yeah I mean my 2008 focus I could actually just bolt on new mirror assemblies with heat and it would work with the rear defroster, but I also have power mirrors stock, just curious if Ford went through the effort to make specific door harnesses for power vs manual mirrors, and if they even have the plug ends there just plugged into a blank socket in the mirror housingI was looking a while back, and Ford parts lists multiple different physical mirrors - manual, power, power w/o heat & w/o spotter lens, power w/o heat & w spotter lens, power w heat w spotter lens. I would bet they used different harnesses.well yeah I mean my 2008 focus I could actually just bolt on new mirror assemblies with heat and it would work with the rear defroster, but I also have power mirrors stock, just curious if Ford went through the effort to make specific door harnesses for power vs manual mirrors, and if they even have the plug ends there just plugged into a blank socket in the mirror housing
Yes, unless it is equipped with CP360.What?! the XL has manual adjusting mirrors?
Photos of install?I added heated side mirrors to my XL Hybrid. The heated glass is a direct swap with the non heated glass. I ran my own wiring. I'd already added a rear window defroster so I've got that and the heated mirrors all running off the same timed switch. The part numbers I used for the heated glass are in the image below. I think you could add the power mirrors as well, just more work. I'm the only person to drive my truck so I didn't add the motors to move the mirrors. All I wanted was the heated mirrors for Winter.

It was really hot the day I installed them. I didn't take the time to take photos of the install process. I just wanted to get it done and get out of the heat. I removed the mirrors and disassembled them to make it easier to thread the wire through the mirrors. Then I removed the door panels and the speakers so I could reach inside to thread the wires down to the rubber tube that the factory door wiring goes through to the footwell areas on both sides. I used a wire chaser to get the wires through there. Then I hid them under the dash over to the fuse box area in the passenger foot well. From there I tapped into the rear window defroster circuit that I installed before Winter. So now the mirrors and rear window defroster all run off the same circuit. The heated glass draws between 1 and 1.5 amps per side so it wasn't an issue to run them and the rear window defroster off the same timed switch. The install process is straight forward. Just a ground and positive wire to each side mirror. Once the wires are run, reassemble the mirrors, install and same with the door speakers and panels. The only image I did was a side by side of the heated glass and non heated glass. They are a direct fit, just snap in. The heated glass doesn't say it'll fit an XL on Ford Parts site but it does. I rolled the dice hoping they'd fit and they do. There was no factory wiring for the heated glass so you have to run your own wiring.Photos of install?
Thank you!Anyone find a way to add power or heated mirrors?
