Is the water at the ends (one or both) or overall? My soft roll up allows a small amount in, but nothing that would harm anything I typically haul. Have you used it in winter weather?
I had that same setup on my dakota. In the mav I cut the board shorter and put it up against the front of the bed on the bottom. Put our bikes in at an angle and I can shut the tailgate. No straps or anchors needed.
After 3 years I'm thinking about an "upgrade" from a soft roll-up that has stitching going bad. I can't decide which of these to get, so I'm looking for people who have them and nit-picking. I don't have the rough country on the list because I think the exposed slat style will freeze solid in...
What nonsense is that of which you speak?! I much prefer to own a car for 10 years and not know half the features it has. Better yet, ask a mechanic to do something. Since they know how to do something specific on 1 of 100 different models you touch every year.
Another poster has pics, you can see a black harness under the wiper arms in the main shot of the area with the cowl removed. This was taken during the leak repair, the windshield is removed and you can see the sealant. Edit: the harness plug is white, the drain is the black on the left.
I installed a livernois tune, (91-93, and unused tow) partly from snox801 in other threads. I have no other "performance" mods. I didn't do it for going fast, I did it because I belong to a group of EB owners (seems to be 4k as well) that have problems with how the throttle response/shifting...
I know this thread is getting old, but just wanted to say that at 14k I installed a livernois tune. In talking to a rep there, I got the impression that the weird issue we experience is due to the trans programming and Fords gear skipping. The tune eliminates 2nd gear, one that was very close...
I stopped reading and skimmed. I don't notice my cheap amazon (just pick one with a weird made up name, they are basically all the same) roll up flapping. Well, I see it in the rearview a little, but I can't hear it. Rear passengers have said they hear it. I like it, I thought if I did and...
If you don't have any forscan mods already, I really doubt you have any tune software installed.
Easy eco mode is just not pushing the go pedal. I saw no mileage improvement using it, just a tranny shifting way early and slow throttle response. I actually do use it more now that I installed a...
Just responding again. I jumped off the edge and put a livernois tune (91-93 per, 87-93 tow) on my mav at 15k. As far as I'm concerned it drives like Ford should have made it to begin with. It no longer acts strange at low throttle, it doesn't feel like the throttle cuts out on sharp turns (I...
Some do, depending on what you're going for.
If its GDI deposits you're after, top tier fuel and varying where you buy as they all use slightly different additive packages and quality synthetic oil (there are some on market made for GDI engines) seems to make a difference, at least the last...
You put it on "1" the screen is basically black. I had to use my led tactical light to be able to see anything on it.
Just plug it in, let it sit at least a couple minutes to fully boot up. "settings" is the very bottom of the screen. The top of "brightness" is aligned with the bottom of...
It pulls just fine. There isn't anything in the way of downshifting. I prefer a car that coasts instead of slowing down and using brakes, but to each their own.
I haven't been through all the replies but I have seen some stuff about the start/stop and mentions of shifting. Ford has done some...
I'm getting ready to do one to take care of the shifting in this truck but have a question about throttle response when turning.
I've noticed this thing severely cuts the throttle down when trying to accelerate with the wheel turned past a certain point. I live in a place where there is a 60...

If it's protecting the cv's it's trying to kill me doing it.
Lately I'm driving the truck harder and really trying to see what's up with the power delivery. Leaving work tonight I punched it pulling out on a street and made a hard turn. The throttle basically shut off until I straightened up...
