The manual shows a 4-tire rotation, not a five tire. Presumably there is a preferred spare rotation placement but anything is better than nothing.
Since the "full-size spare" isn't full size there's no reason to rotate it into one of the road positions.

Thanks Metal. Looks like you are referring to a different version of the manual. Mine is for the 2022 Maverick and does not have the info on the pages you reference. Front page actual part number for my manual is - 20210620211004143038 ( $%$#!!) Darnon, as I posted, the full size spare tire and wheel are identical to the other four. Being identical also means they are the same size and or dimension. The reason to to rotate is to equalize wear and also to extend the life of all the tires by using 5 instead of 4 in the numerator of the mileage equation. A spare like the Mavericks not used is a tire wasted. Typically they sit there upside down aging then rotting into uselessness if a flat doesn't come along.

Edit: Darnon, from your avatar pic looks like you have different nicer wheels. I have the cheapy bone stock metals . . ... all 5 identical. :)

I agree that it does not detail the process in the manual. But I can tell you that there is a process to re-learn and identify to the truck where each unique sensor is located. You do not need a Motorcraft brand tool, but you do need a tool.

I know this because I have done it myself 3 times. Twice on my 2022 (took stock wheels off and put on nicer wheels that had their own TPMS sensors in them. Then when I sold my 2022, I reversed that process), and once on my 2023 (took stock wheels off and put those nicer ones on again).

$13 "Random chinese brand" TPMS Tool on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076KL82JP

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position. Then, press and release the brake pedal.

2. Cycle the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position.

3. Press and release the brake pedal.

4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

5. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. The horn will sound once and the indicator will flash if the training mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center will display “TRAIN LF TIRE.”

6. It may take up to six seconds to activate a tire pressure sensor. Do not wait more than two minutes between training each sensor or the process will time out and the entire procedure must be repeated.

7. Starting with the left side/drivers front tire, press and release the test button on the TPMS tool. The horn will sound briefly to indicate that the tire pressure sensor has been recognized by the vehicle.

8. Within two minutes of the horn sounding, repeat the process with the right front tire pressure sensor.

9. Repeat these steps for the right rear and then left rear tires.

10. The procedure is completed after the last tire has been trained. When the training procedure is complete, the message center (if equipped) will display “TIRE TRAINING COMPLETE.”
Thanks, ordered from Amazon.

Did you change/install your truck's spare tire yourself? Otherwise the 'full size' spare shipped with Mavericks is not the same size as the other (4) tires.... it has been discussed dozens of times on this Forum.

TPMS is a headache and costs unnecessary money. Just disable the damn thing and drive old school!

OK. No dice here.
I tried the Motorcraft (possibly knockoff) TPMS19 tool. Then the ring magnets. Neither works - so that leads me to believe the Bronco Sport take-offs I bought did not come with TPMS as the seller stated.

If anyone wants to buy the magnets and tool off me, $10 and I'll ship 'em to ya. I'll just buy some new sensors - but might wait until I wear out my tires first ($100+ for sensors and install vs just checking the air "manually").

I tried using the same Motorcraft (probably knockoff) TPMS19 tool I got from Amazon and it did not work. Im assuming there ARE TPMS sensors in the wheels/tires I bought...

Anybody try the other tool listed in the previous reply on page 1?

I bought mine off eBay with a "made in united kingdom" on the plastic packaging - hoping that would be more likely to be genuine vs Chinese one.

Yeah, if I would have known, I'd have paid to swap my OEM sensors out of my steelies before selling them. Oh well.
