I don't know for sure, but I would suspect that it stays in AWD for longer, or maybe continuously.Does anything chance if you put it in slippery mode?
Try an old bug with an 1100 or 1200 cc engine..the fact that you can take off from a stop, as fast as you want and in most any situation and it wont spin, it just goes.


Would the AWD reengaging while slowing have any impact on getting more regeneration out of deceleration? Similarly, is there any correlation between braking and the AWD system engaging? I couldn't always tell when or whether the driver was applying the brakes as he was coming to a stop.Why does it re-engage when slowing down?
I would say no impact on regeneration. The regeneration limitation is the max charge rate of the high voltage battery. I believe that to be about 25KW, which is equal to about 34HP. more seriously, though, the combination of tall skinny tires, the weight of the engine on top of the back axle, a pan under the engine, and a lack of excess torque, made it one of the few vehicles ever that could drive casually through snow higher than it's axle.

I do believe that the order of the PTU and RDU connecting and disconnecting is done in an order that keeps the high torque loads off of the PTU for this operation, as the RDU has a much more robust clutching system.
Unfortunately I think I read that they took away this menu on the 25 models?On my 24 Tremor XLT there is a Screen option under Menu called Intelligent AWD. It shows on the dash the power going to all four wheels at any given time. Simpler than mounting a camara under the Truck.
