Great video, Adawalli. Thanks for sharing. Nice to see some NC folks on this forum.
Very well said @NewBernWolf .
I'm hoping in a few years time people will no longer be so focused with asking about the lifespan of an electric vehicle's battery. Just like almost no one nowadays asks about the lifespan of an ICE (internal combustion engine) car that they are looking to buy.
Also, hey neighbor. I'm not too far south of you down near Havelock. Currently have one of the new Rangers but really liking the potential of new Mavericks.
It's hard to believe that we're still looking for reasons to be scared of owning a hybrid vehicle. Yes, the battery is a battery. Yes, it's warranted to last a really long time. No, it won't die or deteriorate at 100k miles. Yes, it can be replaced if something weird happens, just like a transmission, an engine, or a gas tank can. No, it won't cost $3,000 to replace it. Yes, you can find videos showing you how to replace one yourself. No, it won't go dead if you mostly drive at high speed. No, you can't damage it by running through water. No, you don't have to baby it. No, you don't have to contend with it dying in cold weather or hot weather or wet weather. No, it won't blow up. No, you don't have to plug it in. Yes, you can use regular gas in it. No, you can't decide whether or not to run on just the battery or just the gasoline engine...
