I ordered a Ford Maverick last January when someone totaled my parked truck. I needed a vehicle right away but I decided to wait for the "right" vehicle at the right price. So I bought beater with a heater minivan for $3000 and proceeded to wait 12 months until my truck was finally delivered. Not only did I get the truck I wanted, It also helped my by paying only $250 a month for the past year for transportation. Plus I only had liability insurance on the van. So double win!

Yep - learning patience is the main benefit I've received from my Mav order thus far... Ask me six months from how that's going...

Ordering a Ford Maverick has helped me learn all about allocations, constrained parts & build time. I've always bought off the lot and this is the first vehicle i've ever ordered!

I'm a very patient person. So the wait didn't really get to me. After 3 or 400 days, yeah, it probably would have.

It helped me meet new people. Everywhere I go someone asks me about my Maverick and If I like it. When I park at the office I hear people asking the receptionist who has the Blue Maverick and it usually ends up with an impromptu tour.

Probably the closest many of us will ever get to one.
Oh well, I still have my Slingshot. Second gear, third gear, foot to the floor . . . it's 1969 all over again. What about first gear? It just makes thick smoke out of thin rubber. (It is fun, though!!!)

My commuter died several months into the wait, and I decided to go with monthly rentals instead of buying a beater since I already had a build date. This has given me the chance to try some fun vehicles that I would never ever in a million years have considered taking home.

Yesterday I picked up a fluorescent orange Charger RT - an unexpected barrel of fun, especially since I get to give it back next month after the novelty wears off

I am die hard Ford, been working at a Ford Dealer since April of 1996, my dad worked on Fords from 1983 - 2020, so its in my blood.

However, Toyota or Honda would be my second choice based on all the research and reviews!
