Looks like a great setup! I like the fact that the seat belt covers are flaps instead of holes. some of the ones I read reviews on that claim to be waterproof say that the seat belt holes make the waterproofness much less waterproofey.
Correct. Some do not seat completely. I really like this one because they seal with Velcro and prevent spills and dirt/grime to get through. I did my best to take a picture of what I mean.

I took the advice of those on this forum and got one of these back seat pet protectors from Amazon. Works great so far and it’s an easy way to effectively add secure tool storage without destroying the seats. Thanks for the tips!

What about something like this?
Seat protector
A similar item works well to protect the rear seat area when transporting the dog and tool boxes. Mine is black, therefore the extended material drapes over items placed onto the floor and shields from curious eyes.

I use this cover for work and also to protect my seat from baby spills. Tools, cycling gear, groceries and even baby diaper changes. Works amazing that I even have one in my wife’s ride.
