The Maverick checked all the boxes as a CRV replacement. Never sat nor drove one. Equipped it as an urban commuter, main workload and road trip vehicle. The CRV has a hitch and do light trailers occasionally. Maverick is a very interesting vehicle, fills many spaces.

Someone will be able to purchase a well maintained everything works CRV when the Maverick arrives. I'm already getting inquires, but no movement until the Maverick is added to fleet.

Test driving a vehicle isn’t necessary in my eyes. I’ve purchased many vehicles in the past without ever test driving them, it’s all about just adapting to it.

First new vehicle I purchased was a stick shift. Never test drove it and didn’t know how to drive a stick. Signed the paperwork, got the keys, drove… stalled a dozen time but figured it out on the way home haha

The title says all... how many of you? I ordered a Maverick without even test-drive it first. I did sit inside of a Maverick (hybrid) at the dealer's lot and ordered a Maverick with EcoBoost.
I bought one without even sitting in a Maverick, let alone test driving it. Also, I traveled from Maryland to Ohio to buy it, with just a picture and a window sticker.

I ordered my Maverick on 7/5/21, There were no Mavs anywhere to see, just pictures. My friend has a hybrid escape, which is what the Maverick is based on, so I had no problem ordering one. I wanted a small truck that fit in my garage, a hybrid was even better. With the low starting price, I went for the Lariat with lots of safety features, and was still under 33K out the door.

Never drove one but I studied all road test videos. The dealer called me one day that he had one that was sold but I could not drive it, just looked at it and sat inside the truck. After waiting four months I got my MAV in February and love it! Read many horror stories but had no problems with my MAV. She's an EB, Hot Pepper Red FX4, CO-Pilot 360, FLR LNRS W/CARPETED MATS, Full size spare tire, Tail gate and wheel lock, Equipment Group 300A and bed Liner spray in.
ONLY 4 MONTHS! Nobody got there special order in 4 months. WOW you are a winner.

I've never even seen one in person... The MPG alone had me sold but after tons of research and seeing reviews from 6'6" drivers saying they fit just fine, I was absolutely sold! Can't wait to drive around in my baby truck!

I'd been trying my hardest to secure a RAV4 Hybrid there were so many trims and options that I couldn't find one that had everything I wanted.. so I never felt comfortable paying almost $40,000 for it.. Happy to have come across the Maverick. I'm trading in my Corolla and making the switch from Toyota to Ford!

Drive it? I haven't even seen one in person lol

I was looking forward to driving my brothers but the dealership gave him a $3000 check to let them sell it to someone willing to pay $8500 over msrp lol

November 2021 my backup car , unexpectedly blew its timing chain. Started to look at used cars, but made zero sense as market is/was way crazy. Heard a brief mention of a new Ford. Looked it up, built it several times, Found a a dealer with a delivered order on their lot , drove 30 miles to see it, didnt even park for a minute , got out did a quick walk around told the wife lets go, turned around raced to my dealer and ordered. Never ever a second thought, seeing is believing.... Didnt drive one till mine was delivered. 8 months later...It is sure sweet to drive.

Hmm, I've ordered 2 without driving them. I did sit in one at the dealer. It was sold, in "make-ready" department. Since it was sold, I couldn't drive it.

Haven't sat in one yet, I've see several up close as there are a few in town. I knew from the time they were announced that I wanted one. Mine is ordered, now to wait.

Nope. I saw one in a Home Depot parking lot in St Pete, FL and another drove by me in Brooksville, FL a couple weeks later. Those are the only 2 I've ever seen in the wild. Ordered mine this past Monday once I had the cash to drop. Great timing, too because they closed orders Tuesday night :p

Closest I have come to one is seeing one on the road once or twice. Test driving is not necessary to me on something like this. As long as there aren’t a bunch of comments about being dog slow and can’t get out of its own way or something, which of course isn’t the case on these, I’m sure driving will be just fine. It would of been nice to at least sit in one to make sure it’s a comfortable enough fit though, especially on a smaller vehicle. For example I had a new focus for a rental car once almost 10yrs ago. Overall size of the car was ok, but the strange seating position was terrible! No way I could own one of those! At a normal 6ft tall, it felt like I was driving from the back seat with the B pillar beside to just forward of my head! Like I could look sideways out the back window! Meanwhile seemed like there was tons of room between the firewall and the pedals where they could of had them much further back, thus seat position a good bit more forward. Never had an opportunity to actually sit in a maverick before ordering, and that is pretty much my only worry, though doesn’t seem like it should be an issue.
