How long to Maine?

My Maverick has been waiting at the ramp in Massachusetts longer than it took to get there from Mexico. The dealer doesn't know why. Ford chat doesn't know why. Ford Marketing doesn't know why. I have seen my ETA be adjusted out 3 time since my Maverick unloaded from the railcar at its final destination. I saw one Maine poster say they have to build a load before they head on up to Maine. Is that how the delivery works? Any insight or previous posts that could help. I've searched and really wanted to ask.

If I'm not mistaken, your Maverick is in Devens, MA waiting for a truck. I believe they do wait to complete a load before assigning a truck but I'd hope it wouldn't take that long since Wiscasset Ford is a huge dealer whose lot looks like they could be a regional distributor for Ford. I guess it depends on where you are and what dealers are in your general area.

We're heading up on Sunday for a week in the Thomaston-Rockland area.

Tourist season is calming down so it should be more accessible. My dealer says they have other vehicles they are waiting on. You'd think Ford would want to get paid, but in the cost center silo of delivery, maybe that isn't a metric.

At this point, it's out of Ford's & the dealer's hands as to when you'll get your truck. The trucking company won't schedule a truck pickup until there are enough vehicles to make it profitable. Then, there may be scheduling delays.

Mine sat in a rail yard for 3 weeks before it was picked up by semi and delivered to my dealer. Total time from shipped to pickup was over a month. First thing I did when I got it home was put the 12v battery on a slow charge overnight, to help prolong battery lifetime. The battery charge was definitely low.

Sorry for your wait. My FL delivery took 1 week. My son got his upstate NY delivery in 1 week. I thought 2 weeks. My other son went home last week after vacation. No truck fun here. The old Colorado soldiers on.

I got mine in Portsmouth (just over the border in NH). As I recall, it sat in MA at the railyard for about a week.

Good for you. I'm 300 miles away and 3 weeks waiting so far since it unloaded from the railcar. If it doesn't come for another week, I might miss the Grainger warranty sale.

The dealer told me today that they have been paying interest on this vehicle since it was invoiced. They can't just go get all their ordered vehicles, because Ford has a official delivery sign-off. Maine is not being served for ordered vehicles out of MA for Maine.

They have another order overdue for a customer's scheduled xcountry trip. One for a retirement. I know the feeling, I cancelled a C8 because it wasn't going to make my last day of work. They've had two wind up in faraway wrong destinations, one a $80k truck. They've been contacting the delivery rep, but no satisfaction. Ford doesn't have any incentive to fix it, because they've already charged the dealer. My end of summer PEI trip will likely not happen, and I'll probably have to fly back just to stick the thing in the garage.

Got a letter from Ford tonite, letting me know they were "thrilled" that it would be 2 1/2 weeks more before they would truck to my dealer!

ETA moved again today. 9/6 to 9/12. I only have until the end of the month for them to decide to drive this the last leg, then see ya next spring.

My dealer said they used to get deliveries more often, but Ford must have changed contractors. They can't get any response. He's trying to find out if they can just go get all these vehicles they're waiting for and paying interest on. Wasn't there a thread way back where Ford changed how they contacted delivery because of cherry picking problems? Been following the forum and Maverick Mondays a long time.
