How long after ordering to get a confirmation email?

Might be a dumb question thats already been answered, but I'm having trouble getting an idea how long it took people to get their order confirmation from Ford after ordering at the dealer?

I ordered 11/4 and still haven't gotten a confirmation email. I know I ordered late and will probably be waiting awhile, but it would be nice to have some sort of confirmation at least...

There's a cohort of folks who, for reasons known only to the grand panjandrums of the Mystic Order of the Maverick, have not received any e-mails from Ford (outside of the one acknowledging a reservation had been made online if you did it that way).

I'm among them, and the Ford rep at the toll-free number (800-334-4375) confirmed that it's a Real Thing but could offer no explanation as to why their internal system excludes some people nor any type of remedy. Rest assured you're not alone.

This is not to discount the slight possibility there may be something awry involving your order. For peace of mind, you can call Ford and receive a confirmation from them over the phone.

@Joemro when i was ready to buy i made the online reservation. the default (closest) dealer called me within 2 minutes. he seemed legit and said all the right things and i sent a copy of my drivers license via e-mail and a $500 credit card deposit. within minutes after that he e-mailed me back the DORA. within an hour, i had received the confirmation e-mail directly from ford proving the dealer did all the right things.
on day one my dealer (helfman ford in stafford texas) said it would be 10-12 weeks before i would get my maverick. one day short of 9 weeks ford sent me a "built" e-mail and two days later they sent me a "shipped/in transit" e-mail with an ETA right at 11 weeks from my first call from the dealer.
so if all holds up, i'll have mine right after the thanksgiving holiday.

I think there are some dealers who are not following all the steps properly. My first experience with one dealer was nothing from ford after 5 days. This dealer would not remove the lease acquisition fee from the invoice even though I was paying cash. Also he had a note in small print stating MSRP could change. I smelt a rat and cancelled my order. Then I go to another dealer who is very transparent MSRP + $699 ,I agree and he orders my truck on 11/03 ,gives me a document called a preview order with order number on it and all pricing completely spelled out ,I am not even out of the dealership and I get a confirmation from FORD in my email. On 11/12 my sales person sends me a screenshot from Ford : basically it say Maverick lead to order program enrollment status . it includes CUSTOMER approved, a tracking number and the same order that was on the preview order sheet .This was my experience.

I am one of those who has gotten nothing from Ford on my order. I ordered 10/27. I do have an in. My niece has a position pretty high up on the Ford planning teams. She has send my build paperwork to the Maverick Head engineer and a few other people to get me my confirmation. Hope to hear from them soon since yesterday was the close out day for ordering 2022 Hybrides.

When I ordered the first Maverick, I had the confirmation within minutes. I ordered another one for my daughter on Friday 11/12 and the salesman called me yesterday, to confirm things with me. A few minutes after the call, I had the email.

From reading here, I knew to be sure they included my email in the order process on their end.

When you order on the Ford site, they inform the dealership. After that, it's 100% on the dealer to have your email on the order. If they screw that up, you will get nothing. It has nothing to do with Ford, it is ALL the dealer's fault.

When you question them, you are almost guaranteed to get lied to.

I ordered on 11/9 (online and sent to dealer), got DORA same day, dealer told me about 6 days for Ford confirmation email, 11/15 (yesterday) got email from dealer saying they needed me to sign some papers and give them $100, questioned if my order was still in system and they said "yes" and that Ford looked at it and was requesting some papers, signed, scanned, sent to dealer via email and got email from FORD a couple hours later confirming my order, telling me the 4 steps etc.

This whole process has been weird to me. I ordered through my local dealer on 10/19 with a sales rep. He stated unfortunately since I came after I got off work (4:00pm) that the order would have to be preformed the next morning due to the online ordering manager not being there. The salesman helping me also said they would email me a document that I needed to sign and send back so the order could go through. So instead of waiting for that form I took some PTO and went to the dealership in the morning. Was able to speak to the ordering manager and he told me he placed my order first thing that morning which confused me because I was never sent the form that I was told needed to make the order. I was then showed a printout of the order with all its components and such itemized and I signed that and gave them my email again. They kept the form to update the email and sent me on the way. Im guessing that was my DORA and its been a hassle to get a copy of that. Havent heard anything from ford at all. Starting to feel scammed but luckily I never had to put money down so at least my pockets arent hurt. Just really wanted to grab a Maverick at somepoint...

As has been mentioned, there's definitely a lot of this going around; I ordered on 7/14 and have still never received a single email from Ford. I spent hours on the phone/chat with Ford back in August trying to get my name added to my order (assuming the salesperson missed it), so I could get updates. Was basically told to go pound sand, they said there's no way they could verify any information about the order other than the fact that it had been submitted.

My suggestion? Hound your salesperson for the VIN and the Order Number. Once they give you that (which may be a bit), you can at least drive yourself insane constantly looking for updates on Ford trackers (when they're actually working AND assuming the trackers are even accurately reporting status at the time)...then at least you don't have to be bogged down by letting the saelsperson be the middle man.

Took over 2 months for me to get the confirmation email. I called the 800 number to confirm the order at about 2 months.

I ordered my Maverick yesterday. Process was completed at about 17:40 and I had an email from FORD confirming the order at 18:20. The preview order from the dealer shows as Priority: 10.

I completed signing 11/13. Dealership salesman said the order would be submitted 11/15 or 11/17 at the latest. Haven’t heard from him since (will contact dealership cause that’s frustrating.) I didn’t receive an email or anything.
I did a chat today with Ford and gave my order code from the DORA and they confirmed it’s in their system and in process. Was told to contact dealership to ensure they have my email and information correctly.
