It will be my first hybrid. The results of this poll thus far and the reasons given by first time hybrid buyers show what a home run the Maverick is. Ford needs to get the hybrid production cranked up!

FTFY.IMO PLUG-IN hybrids are the best of both worlds...no reliance on the power company, weather or the grid going down or the gas station.
I would rather this be an SUV....I don’t need a pickup.
Depends on how he optioned his XLT Hybrid and whether he wants to buy new. Rav4 and CR-V hybrids are going to cost a lot more than a base Maverick XLT Hybrid. Dunno about the Escape. There are numerous hybrid “SUV’s” the size of the Mav: escape (Mav is using its drivetrain), RAV4, and CR-V are all very popular examples.
Doesn't matter. If he really wanted a hybrid suv he could have one. If he just wants a cheap hybrid then he can't really complain.Depends on how he optioned his XLT Hybrid and whether he wants to buy new. Why can’t you wait for a EV? How is a full EV better than a hybrid?First hybrid for me, but I really wish it was a plug-in hybrid with a larger battery. I can't wait for the eventual Maverick EV!
Better performance (torque, acceleration, AWD response) from a simpler powertrain that requires less maintenance and overall last longer. Bonus points for being quieter and no tailpipe emissions. Towing is probably the biggest drawback though, but for me that's less important in a small truck like the Maverick. Why can’t you wait for a EV? How is a full EV better than a hybrid?
I had a 2012 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid. Yeah the gas mileage wasn't that great for a hybrid (especially by today's standards), but I really liked the regular geared transmission and the smooth transition from electric to gas, and that I could drive in EV mode at highway speeds.First hybrid purchase was a 2015 Optima Hybrid.. good car, but not great efficiency. Have been looking for the "right" hybrid for a long time now. This is it.
