I drive a 2013 Toyota Prius that has averaged 48.5 mpg for it’s lifetime.

I wanted an ev, but the price point was to high. I settled on hybrid as a stop gap to a future ev. I also was impressed that Ford Motor Company as a global auto maker finally used all their knowledge from Europe and Asia to deliver a groundbreaking vehicle in the USA.

First hybrid purchase was a 2015 Optima Hybrid.. good car, but not great efficiency. Have been looking for the "right" hybrid for a long time now. This is it.

Nothing against hybrids, but I prefer something with a punch. 2/3 of my last vehicles were 4 cylinder turbos with AWD. I did not cast a vote

Maverick is my first Hybrid, but I did test drive the then new 2001 Toyota Prius when they first came out. Does that count?

This will be my first hybrid (whenever it shows up). I need a new daily driver as my old f-250 only gets 9 mpg, and with these gas prices I can buy a maverick for less than what I am paying for gas right now. And still have the big truck for when I have to haul stuff.

I drive a hybrid everyday. I've owned a hybrid since 2008.

This is my first Hybrid.

I was happy with my 2015 Honda Fit EX with it's 30 MPG average over the 7+ years I have owned it.

I have looked at hybrids before but they really didn't offer more value for me especially with their higher purchase price.

My vehicle before the Fit was a 1998 Ford Ranger SuperCab that I had 16+ years and over the 7 years of driving the Fit I did occasionally miss having a truck. A few times I had to rent a truck from Home Depot for house and yard projects.

Then came the announcement of the new Ford Maverick Hybrid starting at $20K in June.

And suddenly I can have both value and functionally.

A Hybrid with it's fantastic MPG city ratings plus again having a truck.

Win win all around.

My next vehicle was going to be hybrid or electric. (Rising gas prices). So this makes it my first hybrid and first truck.

With the economy and what is happening on the world stage, I didn’t feel comfortable spending on Rivian / Lightning. Maverick is small, inexpensive, and hybrid. Bingo!

This will be my first hybrid. I'd been looking at them for a while but have never been really impressed. The cars similarly sized to my civic are rather "blah" (in my opinion anyway). Crossover hybrids end up providing about the same MPGs and I didn't really feel like they'd be giving me much extra in terms of usefulness. The Mav was an instant YES when I saw it. Great MPGs, great utility in that it's a truck, and the price is really unmatched. If this had been a Chevy or Dodge/Ram I would have passed though.

Everything else has always been either too loud looking or too close to normal vehicles in cost/mpg to justify it for me.

First one. Until now (with gas at $4.79 a gallon), hybrids were so much more money that the way we drive (200k is easy in 6 years) made them a waste of time. This one not only cuts back the gas bill (only a little over my base FIT), but it makes camping gear so much easier! And it is affordable to boot? Done

Not my first, I drive a Volt, which is a plug-in hybrid. It is amazing, and I expect the Maverick to be amazing as well.
