Bought my 22 lariat used with 30k miles about a month ago. It came with these fender flares and cab spoiler that I’m not too fond of.

looks like they’re probably held on with double sided tape but I’m not positive. No idea who makes them either. Anyone know how I can remove these without destroying my paint?

summer time, on a super hot day middle of day is best time to remove.

fishing line will cut through it, I use professional adhesive 3m remover to help weaken 3m tape.

they make a little eraser wheel that removes residual 3m tape too

this is what ive done always with success--- if its tape

You could try a couple of things to remove adhesive . wd 40 or goo gone . Would temporarily try them on smaller areas first .

use a crow bar for sure. J/K, just wait until summer when it's hot making removal much easier.

Yep!!! when I was younger I was removing stuff off a motorcycle, and used heat gun on cold paint, and yeah.. it ended up chipping the paint. ever since I learned from actual body guys, that if possible they just set cars in the summer heat over asphalt, and it is 10x easier. decals on plastic is less risk, but paint. im afraid again to have that happen.

Everybody who modifies their vehicles (Making It Their Own) think they're either going to keep the vehicle forever or the next person will absolutely love their taste and modifications.
Personally I like the wheel flares and the little spoiler but that's me. I probably will not put them on my truck. If they were properly installed and they were on a truck I was looking at it would not stop me from buying it.
Good luck.

Ford Maverick How can I remove these without damaging paint? 20241229_113343

We had a lady in our smart Club who did something like this to her car, "Making It Her Own". She thought it was the cutest thing. When she was trying to sell it she couldn't get anybody who wanted to buy it . When she tried trading it in dealers wouldn't give her anything for it.
By putting that crap on her car. She immediately decreased her buyers by 50% of a admittedly already tiny pool of buyers.. I tried to tell her this, but she kept coming back with, 'oh it's so cute.'
A lot of the time fans of rewiring, hacking up the interior, jacking up or slamming down modifications, don't take the time to look at the big picture. It's all about immediate gratification.

I'm actually trying to put fender flares on my truck, I drive a dirt road several times a week and hate the muddy look as much as automatic car washes.

The spoiler uses 3m adhesive along with the double sided tape . The adhesive is strong( especially if the installer used the whole tube) It's going to be fun to remove. Heat and patience. Tape up the paint around the spoiler to protect the paint while you use plastic trim removal tools and fishing line with the heat. Good luck. Let know how it turns out.

I'm going to install a roof spoiler when the weather cooperates. The adhesive is supposed to be some tough glue. And yes I plan on keeping the truck, and hope I never have to try to remove it. Maybe you will get used to it before the weather warms enough to try to remove it?
