On a side note, I would like to encourage anyone who might own either engine to start tracking with Fuelly if you can. Would make it easier to see a better aggregate of data and it’s more accurate over time than just “I took a trip and got 30mpg” posts.

https://www.fuelly.com/
Thanks for the encouragement but I have never used Fuelly and really don't plan on it.

We have a 2016 Prius and I just sold my 2016 Volt to Carvana. I know for a fact I can get great gas mileage on what I own and the new Maverick will be great too. There will be times when my mileage per gallon will be low and other times high depending on where I go. I will simply get by and fill the tank when it gets low. I may do the math a few times to get actual mpg but the gage will tell me if I went up or down on MPG even if not accurate compared to math. We all drive differently. I don't want to waste much time on it or worry about it. It will be what it will be. And, it will be good because I bought the Hybrid version.

You should give it a try, it really is great. Once setup you can even text your fillups, and literally never have to visit the site again.

Just text your miles, price and gallons (mpg... Easy acronym to remember). You'll get an instant text back that tells you that tanks actual mpg, and your overall mpg.

No more writing or tracking things, and you have a permanent record. You can also add notes after your mpg numbers when texting to track details like what the gauge read, that is what I do. Check mine out, link in my signature!

I don't need another app, I don't need any new messages or texts that make me look at my phone. I know people whose screen time is like 5+ hours a day. I think mine is under 5 minutes. Once I figure my mileage after say 3 to 5 fill ups I will pretty much know what I want to know and there won't be any more writing or tracking. Some people just need more. I need less that would be "great".

I get it but the post was mostly for people who were already coming here to make threads about their MPGs anyway. Or for the people who like to continuously log their MPGs. It actually cuts down on the time wasted.

If you’re anti-phone, that’s whatever but that wasn’t the point of my post at all.
Right? Making 2 separate posts about spending 5 minutes/day with their phone basically had literally nothing to do with the topic at hand. The original fuelly comment wasn't even made towards him, but just a general comment.

Guess he'll be putting his devices away for a few days now that he has posted twice in
