So, I took my 23 XLT hybrid in for its oil change today. I told the service writer that I’d also like them to look into the constant “Deep Sleep” issue I was having with it. He looked at me and said, “What’s a deep sleep issue, I’ve never heard of that. So, I pulled up the Ford Pass app and read the alert to him. Well, they checked it out, and when they told me the truck was ready it was the battery, which they replaced under warranty. I wonder how long this battery will last? I first started getting Deep Sleeps about six months after I got the truck, and I’ve had it for just over a year now. We’ll see.

There is such a long thread about this that two more threads were created.

1. Welcome to the "deep sleep" Club
2. Dealer will now switch out batteries as needed.
3 You discover that Ford batteries aren't cutting it.
4. You buy your own battery.
5. You got another deep sleep message
6. You find out the truck turns complete off up to 90 minutes after you shut it down.
7. You buy an AGM battery, after you ask what the hell is an AGM battery.
8. You learn how to reset the BCM.
9. Issue resolved!

Have fun, we all have................................

I need to buy the darn forscan dongle to plug into my truck and download the software to my laptop to change the charge level to 95%. Can you tell the correct dongle to buy so I don't spend money on one that doesn't work?

I bought this one: OBD Scanner. Use the coupon code RICHARDOS to bring the price down to $40.

The "Deep Sleep" cure is here. Warm weather.
I had some deep sleep/battery/inverter issues that were corrected (I guess) last October. Maverick was running fine since then until the weather warmed up, then I got 3 deep sleep warnings and had to jump start once. Since then the weather has cooled again and I haven't gotten a deep sleep message. I also made a point, again, of making sure everything is off before I turn off the Maverick. I wonder if it is a current leakage issue that gets worse at warm temps...leakage current is always higher at warm temps.

I guess I missed this. Which module is that in?
It is in the BCM...I do not if this works in the hybrid though...I have the EB. And it does make a difference...several have reported this in other threads.

Do these things work with Windows 11? The photos of the program are reminiscent of Windows 98!
