You just made my day. I rolled out of my desk and on to the floor like a puddle of laughter. Thank you.You could try this...Amazon
make very, very sure that you don't lean on the hood when waxing it. dealership tech did this while leaning on the hood to inspect a crack in my windshield. they took care of it, to their credit.I only find it too large when I go to wash/wax it, I can't hardly reach the very center. I had an older Ranger before, never had that problem. It does seem expensive when I'm stretching to try to get the center part closest to the windshield.
Nah, at first it always feels different in a new vehicle visually, I went from a Ford Edge to my Maverick and the truck is indeed a visually a bigger and more square than the Edge. But it’s been a year and it doesn’t phase me.Is anyone else bothered by the size of the hood? To me, driving, it obstructs my view, and in my opinion is disproportionate to the size of the truck. Thoughts?
I came from a “right size” ‘04 Colorado, and it’s noticeable. This is actually an issue for me, not so much the length of the hood but more the slope (or lack thereof). I test drove The Chevy Colorado, Tacoma, Nissan Frontier plus a few SUV's before ordering the Maverick and I didn't find the Maverick bad at all. In fact it easily had the best forward visibility out of the trucks and was comparable to the SUV's I test drove. The worst was the Chevy Colorado. Nice interior but I almost felt claustrophobic driving that thing. Huge chunky hood that's basically flat horizontal with no downward slope. The upcoming Ranger doesn't look too bad in this regard. I might test drive one when they show up at dealers here, but the Maverick is really all I need and would save me over $10,000 compared to a mid-sized.
