I have a 4 inch cowl hood on my mustang, the maverick hood is small in comparison.

I don't think the hood is to large, but I have found that the rearview mirror is smack dab in the middle of my view when driving and can block my sightline.

Conversely, I love the subtle stamping detail of the hood, especially the two center indents that follow the F150'esk door indent detail.

The Mav has some really nice subtle lines when you look closely, despite the initial "plain" look vibe.

I think it's one of the more "cohesive" total styling packages from Ford, quite frankly.

I've had MUCH bigger/longer hoods. This hood is a non issue to me. Maybe raise your seat so you can see over it.

Yeah me too until I learned to push the mirror stalk up as high it would go. Twist the mirror portion down then push up stalk and readjust. Just that little bit goes a long way.

If I'm on a hill up or down at an intersection. I have to duck down to see if there is a car on the right.

I don't mind at all. To me it's an unintended safety feature. You can tell exactly where the front end is for parking or pulling up behind other vehicles. I hate vehicles that have sharply sloped hoods. Then you can't tell where the front end is. The only benefit they have is that water and debris just rolls off whereas an upright, flat hood makes everything sit. That's the one gripe I have with it. If your Maverick gets driven after a torrential downpour, be prepared to wipe your windshield off every time you come to a stop. The bulges love to hold water and the friction of the brakes sprays it onto the windshield. It's just a price to pay for that aggressive flat hood design. No biggie.

Well It's a truck, the hood is going to be larger than a typical small vehicle with a slanted hood. It's not very large or obstructive compared to other trucks though, which makes me happy. The smaller profile of the Maverick makes it so fun to drive and park in parking spots, in the garage, etc.

With a full size pickup, driving and parking is much different

I've always had lifted and bigger trucks. Never had an issue.

That said, I find myself parking a little further back than I should with the Maverick. Like when pulling into spots where a pole is or something. I don't know why. I think it's just the angle you are sitting and and how low the Maverick is.

I've gotten used to it - but no front parking sensors sucks. Especially for a fully loaded Lariat Lux that has literally everything else including the rear sensors.
