2025What year is your maverick?
Have you ever owned a vehicle with direct injection prior to the Maverick? IMO, my Ecoboost is quieter than two other D.I. vehicles I have owned. It just doesn't sit right with me that a brand new truck is that loud. Thanks for any answers you can give.
What trim level is your 2025 Maverick my 2025 XLT doesn't have a Tachometer that i can find? I found the Tachometer. My maverick stays around 2000-2500 rpm's for about a minute and a half after starting, and sounds like my foot is on the gas the whole time. The other one i was in only idled about 1500-2000 for around 20-30 seconds then eased up.
I donāt think anyone has a GPF equipped Maverick yet - will be part of āJob 3ā production beginning July ā25.The likely reason you are noticing a higher idle for a longer period of time on the 2025 maverick is the fact that the 2025 has a GPF and the 2022-2024 does not. The GPF has a regeneration cycle that needs to heat up the exhaust in order to function properly. The is my educated guess. Other things can cause a high idle but itās likely just the GPF doing its job.
Yes - July 25. Mine was manufactured in June. It does not have the GPF.I donāt think anyone has a GPF equipped Maverick yet - will be part of āJob 3ā production beginning July ā25.
That said, you are right that the initial high idle is meant to warm up the catalytic converter & soon the GPF too. Maybe the software is confused?
