Hi Does anyone know if the plant closes for the week of Christmas: Dec 26-30th or do they still build trucks except for stat holidays Dec 25th and Dec 26th?

I'm one of five people on a team of ~45 showing up as "online" on Teams today... and two of those are the production on-call folks. There is no way Ford could get enough people to work to build anything Christmas week. This country almost stops completely between Dec 15 - Jan 5. Seriously. Everybody calls off of their job. Tradesmen don't show up to complete projects.
Ah yah that's probably same situation for mine with build date Jan 5th but currently says in production.I think they close completely from now till January 2nd. My Bronco Sport is showing in production but build date is 1/05. Basically just consider next week as if it doesn't exist as far as production goes. If they were working my build date would be 12/29, but since it's closed, it's all shifted to the first week after New Years.
How did you get your build date, if you don't mind me asking. I had a build week of 12/19 and never got a build dateAh yah that's probably same situation for mine with build date Jan 5th but currently says in production.
You can use Ford Chat or call Ford Marketing and they can tell your build date. That's how I got mine. How did you get your build date, if you don't mind me asking. I had a build week of 12/19 and never got a build date
Same here. You can only get estimated built date from Ford CS chat or call. However, I believe it's not on the same screen/app as all the other information and some reps don't know how to find it. Took me 3-4 attempts talking to different people before someone had an answer and it took them a couple minutes to find. My build week was 12/19 with an estimated build day 12/20, but it didnt actually get built til 12/21. Now waiting for shipping. You can use Ford Chat or call Ford Marketing and they can tell your build date. That's how I got mine.
Due to the nature of assembly line production it's easier for Ford to have mass downtime rather than a large number of folks wanting vacation during the summer when kids are off school. Each person on vacation requires a trained replacement or quality and production suffers. If vacations were scattered throughout the year many people would be forced to take theirs during the winter months. There is no way Ford could get enough people to work to build anything Christmas week.
